I really hate to do the generational divide thing but I absolutely loathe the majority of boomers. They are so fucking disconnected from what's really happening in the country and they act with a weird blend of hostility and righteous indignation anytime they are confronted with reality. A certain chunk of the right wing boomers that got screwed by Trump are starting to wake up but for the most part they are a totally lost generation. Save yourself the effort and don't try to redpill these people.

Right. I love them in the general sense that it is because of them that I am here, obviously. And I understand that they were duped, too, and they couldn't have known exactly what was going to happen decades down the line, but I get so annoyed with them over their continued insistence on liberalism.

My biggest sticking point is the hypocrisy. Every boomer I came in contact with in school and in my early adult life was constantly telling me that we need to 'question authority' and 'think critically about information' and 'free speech' is one of the highest values we have in the United States. Now all I hear from boomers is trust the science, trust the authorities, trust health officials, trust mainstream media, etc etc. Boomers seem totally fine with allowing anti vax camps, endless lock downs and covid pass control grid. How the fuck did we go from easy rider to vaccine passports?? What the fuck is wrong with these people? Do they really have any core values at all or are they just programmed to do whatever institutions tell them to do?
