one of the reasons the UK's Brexit was popular.

So you're equating a country receiving immigrants from another country that was within its own continent and part of the EU (at the time) that is still VERY happy to take on other immigrants with a country not wanting to take on refugees due to concern for its own people? Ketamine goblins having to work alongside Eastern Europeans and getting their panties in a twist about it is not the same thing as being forced to take in refugees that may or may not do anything aside from collect government aid at minimum, or cause harm to their own citizens in a worse scenario. Maybe if they accepted women and children under 18 with verifiable documentation to prove date of birth, but obviously that's not going to be a thing.

LOL - Yeah, that's one way to put it!

Yes, a valid concern, and there are movements in the UK (London, Bradford, Luton, Leicester, Birmingham) to maintain private (illegal) Sharia Law courts for some communities, which is horrifying. a vanilla source on this

My main point is that EU members should act together, rather than some of them - especially the poorest of the lot who've used the EU to migrate out of their own countries to richer countries - making exceptions for themselves regarding human rights, immigration &c. To stay in the EU, they must abide by similar EU standards.
