From the video -
Our nations today are divided into tribal groups. These groups can based on race/ethnicity or political views. Conservatives today are obsessed with paralleling these days with the days of cultural revolution and believe the marxist revolution is complete and implemented. But Dutton sees this in a different way. In fact, he claims that we're seeing the collapse of the marxist cultural revolution and this marxist revolution took place a long time ago (possibly since mid 60s) and it was so subtle that we barely noticed it.
So coming back to the social rift, it has been observed that young adults of our generation are the most intolerant group yet with about half of them having their friendship ended in the "woke wars". This is related to the study recently published by some social research center. As seen in case of China, when cultural revolution is over and implemented, people, especially young adults are united, not divided. The vast majority of people agree on certain things except some ideas or taboos. On the other hand, what we have today is an extreme polarization and this is consistent with going through with some kind of cultural revolution with a breakdown of an earlier society. Yes, we're going through a cultural revolution. This revolution isn't over and implemented but in contrary to what most people think, this isn't a marxist revolution but a nationalist one. What? Dutton explains -
According to the British people, only 20% feel the country is invested in them. 70% believe all the politicians are in it for themselves. 51% of labour voters believe the economy is stacked against them compared to 25% who vote conservative. 37% believe the biggest problem we face today is racism (laughable) with 25% believe the biggest problem is "wokism". In case of USA, the divide is even bigger and even. Hence, it is seen that almost equal (difference of 12% but we know they are biased) percentage of the population believe the exact opposite things as the biggest issue. 29% say cancel culture is a bad thing while 26% say it is a good thing. Again, we see almost equal percentage of people believing in polar opposite things as a issue. 29% say they have stopped beings friends with someone they disagreed with politically. 45% believe white privilege exists (bullshit) while the rest 55% do not believe it exists. These polls reveal that our society is extremely polarized and have come apart. This is not what you get in a period where everything is accepted and there is a clear culture as it was in the early 60s where there were clear cultural taboos where everybody knew the rules, agreed on things and united on clear culture as we got with Soviet Union or conservative religious culture up into the 60s.
Back in the 50s in USA, both Republicans and Democrats (I hate them both) agreed in a lot of things and got along much better than they do today. And then in the 60s came extreme polarization due to progressive ideologies. Society was divided and by 1990s, there seemed to be a new system, a new way of doing things, a new establishment and new taboos (criticizing diversity, multiculturalism, being pro white, racism). There was no difference between Republicans and Democrats back then till the election of Donald Trump. Today, Republican party are providing anti immigration lip service because they know we don't want immigrants and this is a clear divide between Republicans and Democrats. Dutton explains this better in the video. So to summarize, in the 50s, there was less division among people and we had common culture. In the 60s, a cultural revolution (progressive ideologies) took place and broke the taboos of the 50s (anti segregation). There was a social rift and eventually the left succeeded with its ideas and society stabilized by the 90s with new set of taboos. The taboos we have today. There was no differencebetween left and right in this period. But once again, it seems that these taboos are slowly being broken since the election of Trump. The right is now openly anti immigrant, CRT is making our people pro white, people refusing to bow to BLM (football fans didn't take it kindly) and white nationalism is growing throughout Europe and USA. Breaking taboos take time as it took in the 60s and we can see the same happening here. Compare what is being said today with 2014-15. This will get more common until today's taboo is broken. How many people were openly anti immigrant back then? How many fake GOP candidates used anti immigration rhetorics back then?
These taboos are being broken and the elites know it. They know history and they see this as a threat. This is exactly what happened before and after the French revolution. The French society was radically different before the revolution and there were clear taboos. The revolution took place and divided the society. After the reign of terror, this divide minimized and new states of taboo took place. Liberalism was born. Similarly, back in the 50s, society was conservative and the degeneracy we see today were considered taboo. Regressive got their way and today we see different sets of taboo. And these are now being broken with the rise of white nationalism. The same is true for pre WW1 Germany to Weimar Republic and then from Weimar Republic to Nazi Germany or pre WW1 Russian Empire to Communist USSR to modern Russia. Communism today is extremely unpopular in Russia and Eastern Europe and this is where communists once reigned. Communist ideology today in these nations is a taboo.
Back in the 50s, when the conservative establishment realized that they were starting to lose power and influence, they doubled down and became more extreme. They ramped up the taboos in order to stop the breakdown of it's own system of power. In the 1930s-40s when things were stable, homosexuality was tolerated. Though it was illegal, people were rarely prosecuted. So it was tolerated. But it changed in late 50s when the conservative establishment was starting to lose influence, the government started to target homosexuals. Media attacked homosexuals and wrote articles that homos shouldn't run for office or hold any kind of power and influence. Neither they should be in charge for anything, whether in office or in government. In some cases, they went after the anti segregation activists. This was a conservative backlash.
Can you see any parallels today? Who are the government and media targeting? Who is being called as a threat? Say it with me - WHITE SUPREMACISTS! What they mean is white folks who don't bend over. Why? Because they know the taboo they created is breaking apart. Hence, they are coming after us. They see the history and recognize the pattern. They can't help but attack. Yet, people are waking up. Dutton concludes that the cultural revolution progressives created is breaking apart and with it, its power and influence. And just like the 60s, the pattern will repeat in the near future and they will lose power. Society will once again go back to the old ways and new sets of taboo will take place (anti white, liberal, LGBT, degeneracy). Dutton says what we are seeing today is the collapse of liberal cultural revolution of the 60s. There is going to be a cultural revolution - white nationalism.
