Such paranoia about pedophilia legalization would make more sense in the 70's and 80's when many respected and prominent European leftist intellectuals were quite literally advocating for it. Many films in Europe were being made that feature CP or something close to it. Even in America films like Pretty Baby were made which would never get made today.

Our current culture is one of pedophilia hysteria that doesn't show any signs of legalizing pedophilia. For example look at any age of consent law changes in recent decades, they change to go up not down.

With that said those photos are disgusting.

I honestly think that's a tactical decision on their part in regards to the push for pederasty which as you rightly say has not been explicitly pushed as much in the last couple of decades. The left isn't stupid and they realized how ghoulish it looked to promote such things openly so they moved to normalization methods just as they did with homosexuality.

There are TED talks and serious and academic led pushes towards the classification of pedophilia as merely a sexual orientation though. The fight for the normalization of pederasty in my opinion hasn't stopped it's just taken on different and arguably more sophisticated forms. I think the push for lowering the age of consent will come back but only when the culture has become more accepting of the idea.
