Purges tend to have a very detrimental effect on the cohesion of a military force. Stalin learned this the hard way in the Winter war and the Great Patriotic war.

 

These morons are setting themselves up for failure. First they allow transvestites back into the U.S. military (which Trump had banned), and now they are purging white conservatives? They have no idea what kindof an effect this will have. The U.S. military has already declined on many levels, and these actions are just going to accelerate that process. If they get carried away, there will be a drastic loss in fighting power.

Biden and his Neocon friends are going to be in for a major shock when they start a war in the Middle East. It will be a total shitshow as units are filled with inept leaders and soldiers who struggle to perform basic tasks, and units disintegrate after prolonged bouts of hard fighting. The U.S. military is a paper tiger, and they won't know it until it is too late. As the saying goes: ''You go to war with the army you have.''

 

The Biden admin is going to be stuck in a quagmire with a dysfunctional military that can't fight peer enemies. Thats a recipe for disaster, especially with Russia in the background. If they are lucky, it will be like Vietnam all over again. If they are unlucky, it will turn into something MUCH worse.

This is why you NEVER let politics interfere with military administration (especially not with training or staffing). You might be able to get away with that Woke bullshit in a boardroom; but in a battlefield, it will get you killed. War is the one domain where you can't fake success.

The us military is already a paper tiger. It was turning into PC principal when I got out ten years ago. I can imagine how bad it will get. One problem we already have is that nearly everyone is a mercinary, and this will only get worse. No one is going to fight for America. The military is a jobs and leadership training program for women and minorities.

And how is that a problem? The idea that mercenaries are somehow unwilling to fight and die for a country has been proven false in all the recent and relatively recent conflicts involving the U.S. military.

Or would you prefer conscripts to mercenaries?

If that so, do you really think a poorly-trained shit-stained 18 y/o guy who was drafted in the military against his will is a more effective soldier than a well-paid well-motivated volunteer who knows what he's getting into and gets a nice paycheck and decent benefits in return for his service?

Mercenary =/= professional soldier. It just means soldier for pay. You can have ill trained young mercenaries and underpaid/no pay old, skilled, professional, freedom fighters.
