I can relate. I have often thought about writing a post about the general decline in civility (and intelligence) that I experience daily.

According to Steve Sailer (who thinks about these things a lot) it seems, thanks to immigration and differential breeding, people in the West are gradually going to become more stupid.

Unz:

Sailer — Is America Heading into Idiocracy?

[A] three or four point decline would have broad, noticeable impacts. Call it Idiocracy Lite. As the population gets dumberer, entertainment will become even dopier than it is now. The population is likely to get surlier, less interested in higher culture. And the competence of the workforce will drop.

The irony is that white liberal elitists, who see themselves as better than the rest of America because (A) they loudly proclaim their belief in equality; and (B) they have above average IQs, are particularly likely to find disagreeable the new America that they have helped midwife through their support for open borders. [Cont...]

Add in different cultural proclivities for thoughtfulness and consideration — and realize that many immigrants come from countries where such virtues are absent — and our future looks dim.

I really wish the government was more forthright in discussing it as a problem. I would love to live in a country where the leaders wanted the best for their people rather than simply serving the money nexus which is what we have at the moment.

I also appreciate your observation of the importance of society. I think the best we can hope for now is some sort of voluntary association of some kind.

In many countries forming a queue is advanced technology.

This stuff is real basic. Being able to manage a car--in an urban area--so that you do not ru out of gas, or not stinking up a rental that other people use. Baseline, bare minimum levels of being able to function, or having very minimum levels of courtesy for others. With the exception of people who use pot very rarely (breakup, lost job, some other stressor), those that tent to use do so heavily, rely in it, and they tend to give zero fucks about how their usage impacts people.

Lots of wake-and-bake types where I live. I don't think they even realize how badly it effects them.

The legalization and normalization of pot is going to unleash the law of unintended consequences, much like the rise if single motherhood and the sexual revolution before it. My mother, whom I had to leave when I was 14, was a lot smoker and attribute a lot of the abuse to thst, as well as being baby boomer, an alcoholic and a slut. My lady has a girlfriend who is an everyday user. They are growing a pot. The friend smokes every day, eats like an animal, an exhibits other stereotypical behaviors.

Maybe we should have one day a week where we post complaints.

Saidit badly needs to get its flairs up and running.

I've recently moved out of the city and I'm trying to design my life, friends and even family around avoiding the city as much as possible. The rural areas are a bulwark against this type of control by access to corporate services. I've noticed that the businesses in rural areas are forced to cater to the mindsets and dispositions of rural folk as well. The only thing I use the city for at this point is a fat paycheck and I'd like to eventually get into a self sustaining off grid situation in the future. I know this isn't the solution for everyone but the more high trust white people that do this we will have a better likelihood of creating an alternative economy and even alternative industries. (and genuine resistance if needed)

The only reason zipcar can play so many games is that there are simply too many people who don't question the corporation and challenge it. We absolutely need to get consumers to challenge these things in significant ways. (And by 'significant' I mean radical changes to lifestyle to avoid feeding the fortune 500 beast).

Congratulations. I'm attempting to do the same thing myself. The place I am living gets uglier by the day.

I do not seea problem with zipcar as a concept. How would it be a bad thing in a homogenous metropolis? The point is that this sort of conduct is so prevalent. Deficiencies in really basic stuff affects other areas as well.

I'm not against zipcar. I'm against oligarch that use their companies to manipulate behavior and work together to push an agenda. For example I'm sure zipcar is going to get on board with some type of vaccine check before riding. If they don't get on board with vaccine checks they will be pressured by the corporate community that is tied into central banking power. I want companies that have the ability to buck the oligarch agenda. I see very few of them. Companies that service rural areas are often smaller, more independently owned and I'm hoping we can garner larger and larger customer bases for companies willing to say fuck you to oligarch population manipulation plans.
