Yeah you would have done much better in the same situation. You would have skillfully defeated the combined forces of literally the entire world through your big brain diplomacy. You would have taken the jews' power from them without a war because you're just so smart, they'd have had no choice but to give up their empires in France, Britain, America and Russia instead of just destroying you and killing 10s of millions of Europeans in the process.

This is my favourite thing in the world big brain geniuses sitting in their study 70 years after the fact and laughing about how 'fucking stupid' people were who were dealing with impossibly complex situations and near unlimited numbers of variables in real time with the benefit of hindsight. It's amazing to watch.

Even with the benefit of hindsight what Hitler achieved was unimaginable. I doubt anyone even with perfect knowledge of the history could have replaced him and done more than he did, his brilliance was matched by a handful of people throughout history and you could realistically argue he's above all of them just due to his starting point and path to power and then how stacked the deck was against Germany when he got into power.

Which great man throughout history came from an equal or worse personal position than him? Which great man transformed their state equally as he did in the same period of time? Which great man had to deal with the same ridiculous conditions against him and still persevered (sanctions, debts, 4 world empires ready to crush you etc) to become as powerful as the reich was? If you take the whole context of Hitler and compare him to the greatest men of history it's honestly hard to argue that any of them were even his equal let alone his superior. Imagine if Hitler was able to be the son of a king and tutored by Aristotle. Swap Hitler with any great man of history, which of them outperforms him?

This is only the first element. Hitler built the NSDAP with zero elite and financial support, Stalin took a position in the Bolsheviks that was funded and organised by jewry. Idk about Genghis' situation but I doubt his situation was comparable to Germany's surrounding by the 4 strongest states in the world that all wanted to destroy his country before he even got into power.

It's the whole collection of circumstances that makes Hitler's accomplishments standout. Rags to riches, built a ground up revolution from mass popularity rather than military, fixed a whole country that was in massive poverty, all whilst 4 empires that controlled the entire planet wanted every German dead and were pretty open about it with sanctions, pacts that made within Europe and whatnot.

Clearly he was an intelligent man, but the circumstances were very good for him. Germany was ready for a leader and the people were motivated and desperate. The Germanic people are just of higher stock, making good advisors and soldiers.

Napoleon might have done just as good or perhaps better if instead of France he had a united Germany, rather than fighting the Germanics (Prussia and Britain) on his way to Russia, which they both lost in. Hitler made very bad military mistakes towards the end of the war. Rating their skill as a military commander, Napoleon was better IMO.

Take the whole context not just one part.

    • Homelessness

    • Getting into power through a grassroots populist revolution with ZERO elite support

    • fixing the country's poverty and making it the world's envy within a few years whilst being sanctioned by world finance

    • coming close to defeating 4 world empires that controlled almost the entire planet

I'm not saying no one could outperform him at some specific point in his life when he's already accomplished insurmountable tasks. I'm saying no one could outperform him if they had to go from the beginning of his struggle. Swap Napoleon and Hitler from birth and see what's up. Hitler managed to accomplish everything with zero mentorship and favourable conditions, Napoleon was already nobility.

Hitler was probably better overall, since I don't know very much about Napoleon's diplomatic and administrative skill, only that he would have been a more impressive military commander.

Napoleon could of had usury and debt with peace or war.
