France - contrary to what Americucks say - actually has the strongest nationalist movement in the West. The country has been shifting to the right on cultural issues for years now. The opposite of what happened in America happened there. In the US Trump won and his populist energy was co-opted by the conservative establishment. In France Le Pen lost but the conservative establishment - just like the center-left by the way - collapsed and the radical right is now the only right-wing force left. So, Macron has to do this in order to stop the radical right's constant growth.

Anyway, this is a huge metapolitical victory. The fact that the neoliberal French president is now using our terminology is excellent.
