I think what u/ifuckredditsnitches_ is saying is that the "Alt-Right" is supposed to be a dead movement, according to the MSM - yet it is somehow liable for schizo posts on /pol/. Both of these things can't be true at the same time

"Alt-Right" just means "Dissident Right," and hyperbolic statements from anons on /pol/ are not representative of our real opinions and shouldn't be taken seriously

The alt-right that was prominent from 2015-17 has largely dissipated, though there are still other far right currents that rose after that.

Yet virtually all the same people who constituted the "Alt-Right" are still around and doing more or less the exact same thing.

It's not really one big tent group working together anymore, everything disintegrated late 2017

It is and it isn't. Not a lot of IRL activism but for the most part everyone is still doing the same thing and do collaborate
