I'd say the guy was justified attacking the redneck imo, our lesson from this should be just to stay as far away from Black Americans as much as possible to avoid confrontations like this.

I'd like to see the full clip and what the wife did to be attacked. She wasn't attacking him near the end either when he punched her.

I actually notice a lot of whites and even Asians go easy on clearly weaker blacks when fights start. He starts beating the guys wife, but then when the black guy comes in he just offers some minimal resistance. The guy could have come out with his honour and teeth intact if he didn't de-escelate, instead he's a laughing stock on the internet.

The bear is clearly stronger but the cat seems so determined that the instincts say de-escelate?

It's also possible that he calculated the guy as part of the "crowd" so fighting back would risk the rest of the crowd to join the fight. I'm not sure what goes through the mind in this situation but the black dude is lucky he didn't jump the wrong guy. Going into a fight 1-on-1 as adult men can damage you for life.
