OK so basically Zelenskyy (why why?) completely by-passed the Biden Administration (officially†), and otherwise attempted to hijack strategic US industry for acts of war.

And the Pentagon is pissed at Elon ??! lollll

#stayclassy

† Biden probably ordered Zelenskyy to contact Elon directly - because Zelenskyy is a puppet - and it must never be officially known the the Biden Administration is pressuring private industry (CNN, facebook, old-Twitter, etc.) like the Fascist regime it is.

I think you have that backwards. Biden is the puppet, Zelenskyy is a clown (literally a comedian) but not really a puppet in that way.

Zelenskyy is doing what's best for HIS country and doing a decent job at that, but he just doesn't really have the luxury of considering global politics. We shouldn't give in to Zelenskyy on everything not because he's not a good leader or smart enough, but because he isn't always acting in the best interests of the U.S. and NATO, but Ukraine alone.

Biden is a mindless bureaucrat that got to where he is just by playing it safe and not disrupting anything his whole career. He doesn't scratch his ass without first checking with the DNC.

Zelenskyy probably realized, rightly so that going to Musk directly was more likely to yield the quick results he wanted as Musk doesn't exactly follow what the federal government tells him. He's a maverick with a savior complex and is more than willing to go around government if he thinks it's for the greater good. What he didn't count on was that Musks idea of the greater good isn't caught up in the same whirlwind as everyone else. He's more scared of the nuclear option than he is a war of attrition on the other side of the globe because he's not an idiot.

Zelensky can hardly be considered "an independent actor", when he is forever operating under the full knowledge that if he "betrays" the Banderites, they will kill him. Not politically, literally. Either he obeys what these lunatics want, or they will put a bullet in him. To say he's doing what's best for his country, one would have to assume that what's best for the Banderites is in the best interests of Ukraine. That's a very questionable premise.

it's not clear whether you're using the term ironically or not, but stepan bandera and the banderites are part of world war two history and not an actual group active today.

There's not some mystery league of shadow men whose manipulations are keeping the Ukrainian people in arms.

Ukraine is fighting it's invaders and occupiers. Turns out, you don't need to imagine a world war two phenomenon to explain why Ukraine is fighting back today.

I mean, they ARE a significant part of the country are they not?

Even taking everything you say at face value that wouldn't invalidate any part of my comment.
