Reddit knows the hate speech and CP is usually just astroturfers and trolls from AHS, but they don't care because they wanted to shut down the subreddit anyway, and it gives them a good excuse.

I see similar things currently happening on r/Wuhan_Flu, there are a number of people who post stuff like racist nonsense, but when you look at their post history, they're not at all interested in the contents of that subreddit and are just there to sabotage it.

Yup, it happens on saidit too, and not just from AHS.

It's a big part of the reason we don't allow porn, because it's an attack vector for false flags, to post illegal content as one user and then report the website to the feds. Creating both the problem and the reaction to it, playing both parts. These are the lows some groups stoop to for information warfare, to destroy others they want silenced.

Yup, pretty much what I expected.

  1. Freak resents the world for being normal, wants to take out its hate on the world.

These "hate" subreddits aren't hateful enough, so we have to post what we know they're actually thinking and then report it to get them banned. There's a complete lack of critical thinking in AHS and those types of activists; they're not capable of understanding that people may actually legitimately disagree without being bigots.

Some would be legit, but it's so much worse when more are duped.

And I suspect many of them, duped or not, or transitioning or questioning or whatever - are sexually focusing their existential angst when it might simply be that our culture makes people miserable about themselves and their world.

It's a tactic i've seen time and again with furfags too, where people who find themselves in the more deceitful and degenerate parts of the subculture start questioning their identity or morals, with many times them getting encouraged by 'friends' to change their identity or compromise on their morals.

They tend to run pretty leftist and 'anti-bigot', so there's a lot of overlap in the methods used in the case of this person and AHS.
