This will not be an evening with the actual flesh-and-blood JK Rowling, but rather an evening with Anna Piper Scott, a transgender playwright who has taken on the burden of both scripting and reading Rowling’s lines.

I don’t think JKR would sue him, Streisand Effect and all, she’s a clever woman and she will no doubt turn this into a spectacle that paints troondom in a bad light.

frankly she's the epitome of the famous midwit writer (Philip Pullman too): that's how she got into this hot water, because her position USED to be leftish social-media orthodoxy, but it did an overnight 180 ~2015 and all the murderous teenybopper radfem college girls were replaced by murderous teenybopper TRA college girls

but her lawyers are good enough to note that this falls squarely under any "public persona" clause, and she's used to controversy, rather than just safe-spacing (expelling) any contradictory people until your brain turns to Silly Putty and you can't defend your own positions except by repeating them louder with handclaps between each word

What is it that the voices in his tell him that people like JKR really mean and aren’t saying?

It’s not exactly a state secret.

I think JKR, Glinner, Stock, Joyce, Forstater, Bailey, et al are all pretty honest about what they think, and have all said it out loud. Troons are men and troonettes are women and that will never change.
