The "Educate yourself, sex and gender are different" line has always been in bad faith. The trans movement is about allowing people to exit their sex, not to differentiate between sex and gender. This is important because sex is significant and gender identity is meaningless.

They don't just want to stop you from saying "men in women's prisons. Saying "males in women's prisons" or "males in women's sports" will always be countered by accusations of transphobia. You're not supposed to be allowed to verbalize your justified objections, you're just supposed to capitulate.

I haven't read The Second Sex, but it always seemed like a willful misinterpretation of that sentence for the whole trans ideology to stem from it. It sounds like it means that no woman is born liking the color pink or baking cookies or wearing skirts. That those stem from culture, not biology (which makes sense because pink used to be a boys' color and men in Burma wear skirts), and women shouldn't be limited by those cultural gender standards.

Then the trans movement comes along and says that gender identity is innate, that we all know in our brains at birth that we are an American boy with a natural disinclination to wear a skirt (or a Burmese boy that would absolutely wear a skirt).

Hopefully you weren't a special case. But the first detransitioner I paid attention to pointed to a complete lack of sex ed from her parents, crippling periods, and a Tarantino movie's worth of blood as the origin of her dysphoria. And my sister was inconsolable at her first period.

It shouldn't be a "problem" to grow up. But this pamphlet just seemed laughably like an advertisement to me. If you had no trouble with puberty, it may come across as convincing as an informercial insert bad actor ineptly dropping dishes here but it still seems like it's selling puberty blockers by framing them against items that are at best a chore to use. It also makes it seem like they are an option for 100% of the population. As if they are telling kids they could use pads, a tampon, or puberty blockers. Personal preference. Maybe try all three and figure out which works best for you...
