What I want to know is who, specifically, invites people like Rose Montoya to an event at the White House. Biden certainly isn't making these lists himself. Even trans subreddits are talking about what a disaster this was and are asking the same question. They don't want to be represented by people like this.

I'm a gay man who runs his own business and takes care of his elderly parents, like a lot of people my age. I lead a fairly boring, respectable life. Why do I have to be represented by drag queens, rainbow-haired radical "queers," and narcissistic trans "media influencers"?

Because you are a fairly boring normal person in a brave new world where you need to be a attention grabbing weirdo to get any attention on social media.

Personally I think they are purposely choosing people who are the most outrageous since they've figured out that outrage leads to far better "engagement" than otherwise and voter engagement is something they need to win elections, more so than voter approval. That was basically how Trump got elected, he'd go on and be an abrasive asshole, get attention from people who hated him who then did most of his campaign for him by inadvertently providing him with way more coverage than he could have bought otherwise.

I think their current strategy is, piss off the margins, have the margins say dumb shit that pisses off more people back on your side and mobilizes them to vote against the margins you've just pissed off. Kind of like a snowball rebound.

You take your spitwad and aim it at the angry dumbass kid in the corner, make him mad, he comes after you to beat your ass but overturns all the desks between you and him on the way. Before he gets to you the rest of the class is beating him up, and while they are distracted you go and see if they've left any tasty snacks behind you can sneak steal.

That's an interesting theory, but it strikes me that you may be giving the people who make these decisions credit for being smarter or more clever than they are.

I'm just shocked that nobody at the White House thought that something like this wouldn't happen to begin with. Fucking troons are raging narcissists, there was absolutely no way that at least one of them wouldn't act out with such an opportunity to whore for attention. I can only think that whoever vetted them was a fellow traveler and, as such, willfully overlooked any evidence that would indicate the likelihood of misbehavior happening.

Culture war red vs blue shit. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Alligators live in Florida, a red state, and they eat people, in a red state, so they are enemies of the republicans, they are my friends, I must invite them to dinner.

Now once you politicize an issue that isn't really political, at least not in a typical "right left " way, it totalizes the issues into an us vs them issue. Which is why they are doing this, not so much because they've given thought about the issue, but because it is what they must do as it is the correct option for "their side" all intelligent thought is removed. The event is pushed forward because it will rally the base. You can't express concerns without being an enemy, everyone knows it will be a nightmare but who cares? Don't do anything, act like surprised pikachu meme when the expected happens, keep your job.

Really I think there are loads of people who see pride merely as an issue of "niceness" in the sense of " these people are bullied, bullying is bad, therefore, we need to unbully them" and they see anyone who opposes it as a top hat wearing moustache twirling ties girls to railroad tracks dastard. And are probably quite insulated in their "left wing" bubble from the more extreme nonsense that trans activists are constantly going on about and triggering rightoids about. Instead they sit in their bubble getting triggered by stupid "right alligned" idiots that do dumbass shit like wave around Nazi flags at Disneyland yet probably make up less than one percent of one percent of "the right" but actually they are like secretly all nazis or something because some guy just is a dumbass.

People sit in their bubbles unaware of half the shit going on playing at getting offended when that shit breaks through the barriers of their reality. I think a lot of this has been percolating in corners of the internet for years and years and due to how everyone is online now and how twitter and social media have basically supplanted typical journalism and turned it into a "reaction video" hour just reacting to dumb shit people do online, it gives people really a very small surface level window into things that is wholly decided by what they decide to pay attention to. Most people are blissfully unaware of a lot of the shit that goes on online.

Don't forget how this has gone past even politicizing the non-political, but how many of them become politicized solely based on "Doing this would probably make THEM happy, and ultimately, I want to spend my life making sure THEY are never happy. I will gladly trade my happiness for their misery, because I'd be happier seeing them miserable than I could ever be being happy for myself."

I think that's where the metaphor of demonic possession is quite apt. Once you're so consumed by hate that you act in a way that is entirely self-destructive just because it makes your enemy suffer, you cannot say that you are of a sound enough mind to step back and realize that such behavior is unequivocally evil.

Of course, and that's what has occurred with tribalization. It was enough with abortion going past right/left to "us/them", but once "getting vaccinated is a good idea to prevent death from illnesses we have already cured" has become politicized, it's officially down to that demonic possession with the political form being "we can cure this. Just get your vaccines" vs. "But me getting vaccinated and curing this will make you happy. So I won't do it. I bet you're SOOOOOO pissed off that you can't make me get that shot right now- hell, I hope when I die of this easily curable disease I might give it to you or someone who you care about. That'll REALLY own you and my life will have served a greater purpose!"

This is why you want to hire a professional actor, like Mulvaney.

Yet when the rest of society says 'This isn't acceptable ' they get branded transphobic.

What the fuck did they think was going to happen?

It’s just the most bizarre thing. Why would anyone think that that’s how you behave at an event at which you’re a guest?

Hilarious that the troon-positive Whitehouse has had to ban some troons from ever attending another event.

Let's put some backspin on that. Transphobic Biden brutally genocides brave trans women for legally expressing herself in public.

Nice!

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 7 insightful - 9 fun7 insightful - 8 fun8 insightful - 9 fun -  (1 child)

Exactly. Why Biden should probably be impeached for this incident. Think about it. Biden invited this brave transwoman to the Whitehouse to celebrate pride but then for no other reason than his own bigotry or something brutally excluded this Transwoman from government property for doing nothing illegal and simply expressing herself in accordance with her 1st amendment rights.

How is this not a Federal Hate Crime?

You are on a roll, and I'm stealing it.

Who the fuck shows up at the White House in shorts and a t-shirt or a black wife beater. Jesus, I know we live a country bereft of culture (unless of course it supports some narrative), but you're going to see the president of the US. I know he's not well-liked, but respect the office if not the man. I wouldn't let them in until they put on appropriate clothing.
