Low self-esteem is not internalised anything.

It's a normal human feeling.

Maybe with the huge number of narcissists now you might feel weird for having that feeling.

But here's the secret, those narcissists actually get it worse than everyone else.

Low self-esteem is treated as a sin nowadays. Depressed people are forced to fight harder to mask it and not seek help, lest others find out and make their lives even more miserable as punishment.

When you are in the cult, and you have those rare moments of clarity where you know something is horribly wrong, but you can't express it without being ostracized, so you lie to yourself that you don't actually believe what you know is true. Big Brother loves you. You need only accept his telescreen into your heart. If you surrender yourself to his will then you will know the all encompassing love of big brother.

Yes transphobia is a legitimate phobia.

I wholeheartedly agree. And I'm betting most people are innately transphobic and it's as common as acrophobia or claustrophobia. I think it's encoded into our genes to be able to know the difference between man and woman, so when we encounter something that blurs the lines, our brains instinctually start firing off negative signals.

On top of that, I'm sure these days many people have developed a conscious transphobia after witnessing how the majority of them think and act online and in public.

Yes transphobia is a legitimate phobia.

Transphobia may be legitimate, but "trans" itself isn't a legitimate condition. Wishing to be something you're not is just plain delusion, it doesn't mater if it relates to your sex or not. But if the "phobia" exists it probably relates to the uncanny valley and how almost-but-not-quite humans unsettle us.

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

How is wishing something a delusion? Don't they have to recognize the facts before wishing they were different?

Also, it most certainly is a real condition. Whether this particular tranny really has it is questionable however, or the majority of them for that matter.

[–]clownworlddropout 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Wishing unreality to be real is a delusion. Sex is innate and can't be changed, therefore wishing to change it is delusion.

The condition is real insofar as it is delusional thinking, but the particular shape a delusion takes doesn't really matter. "Trans" is a needlessly specific subcategory of delusion, not itself a legitimate condition.

Here's what delusion means:

A belief or altered reality that is persistently held despite evidence or agreement to the contrary, generally in reference to a mental disorder.

I don't see wish anywhere in there.

[–]clownworlddropout 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Wish/belief, potato/potato. They believe they're "in the wrong body" and wish to be the opposite sex. It's pure delusion!

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Oh sweaty, don't you realize there's no such thing as biological sex? It's impossible to be in the wrong body, doctors arbitrarily assigned your gender at birth. By acknowledging that male and female bodies are not identical you are being transphobic and committing literal genocide!

[–]r2d2_21 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Do you think trans people don't fit this “delusion” definition?

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh I think people who deny basic biology are delusional, for sure. But some don't.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's not a delusion but it's unhealthy to wish for things you can't have.

[–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Transphobia Being anti-trans is both real and perfectly understandable. Aside from how a lot of trannies behave in public and online, the ideology is authoritarian by its very nature. If you don't deny reality, then this ideology considers you a bad person. Being against this ideology is natural and morally sound.

Sadly you are 1000% correct. I wish leftists would understand that instead of blaming all their problems on "rich white male rural Christian conservative bigoted fascist Nazis".

Well well welly well well, it appears bardfinn is truly a monster. After all they are feeding false information and making it seem as if anyone would ever regret transitioning. Which is absolutely preposterous. I have known billions of black Trans women and all of them have never been happier then when they transitioned they certainly never regretted it. So to say that someone as stunning and brave as a Trans individual would ever regret transitioning is tantamount to a literal genocide of queer ideology. Rhetoric like this feeds the egos of the cis who will use it as vindication to continually murder marginalized folx. this cannot be allowed to happen. It is scientifically proven that 97% of people are happier after hormones and surgical genital mutilation. It's literally science and denying it makes you just as bad if not worse then trump. We need to end this hatred so we can secure the exsistance of the gay race and a future for Trans babies.

nevertheless have occasional bouts of "(...) I wish I could just have been born cisgender"

No fucking shit, I wouldn't want to live with a condition that's so obviously deleterious either.

[–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Transphobia doesn't exist. A phobia is an irrational fear. There's nothing irrational about acknowledging that males can never be women and females can never be men. That's just common sense.

I do wonder tho... If there's ever a real cure for this. Proper - you now feel good with your born gender one. How many of those fucks will be against it.

Well puberty cures 95% of cases of childhood dysphoria and look at the huge amount of campaigning for puberty blockers.

I was actually in a back and forth chat with a few people about this online, and someone brought up about how in the future, technology will probably evolve in a way where people could actually change their sex.I brought up how we'd probably find a way to cure the part of the brain that's causing their dysphoria before any of that.Legit the reply i got was this "I'm sure by the time you do find a cure you'd get about the same backlash to it as if you tried to cure autism."Also this "Changing your body to match the way you want to present to the world is a fundamental part of humanity. Wanting to "fix" the desire that people have to change their bodies just seems extremely unappealing."These 2 replies i got have convinced me that this was never about helping trans people but more so playing God and trying to alternate reality.

[–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Lol, did they just compare transgender identity disorder to autism?

[–]nautilistic 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

There's a huge overlap, so it's not even that crazy.

As for curing autism, those who actually suffer from it would benefit from a cure. What's the controversy?

[–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I don't disagree. If an autistic person would benefit from a cure, it should be made available to him. Some autistic people benefit from their condition, but those people are the exceptions that prove the rule. Autism is a disability.

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If you consider that "fixing you" in the same way some would try to "fix" autism, your sexism is showing.

[–]RedEyedWarriorThe Evil Cishomo 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

All of them. They'd try to get it banned in every single country. They'd try to get any country that promotes it sanctioned.

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Probably the vast majority, who are faking it for some sort of personal gain. If that day ever comes they and the sexists will be exposed.

It is complicated when you have to be "fixed", but gender shouldn't be a big enough deal to outweigh the benefits of not wanting to annihilate your body every day. If it's an integral part of your "identity" that's a sign of belief in sexist stereotypes.

True. It's the fear of having to sit through some psychotic asshole screeching to me about why I should ignore biology, reason, and common sense and instead call him a she.
