No, let them see it immediately.

People need to know this stuff is here if they decide whether to use the site. Then they can choose to go elsewhere if they want to. Don't con people into using a site they don't agree with.

Also in the couple of weeks I've been here I've seen those people turn up in the comments of every sub. Hiding their subs will only make it seem more of a shock when they turn up in your post about crunchy peanut butter to tell you the juice is behind it.

Finally conspiracy theories often lead to racism but not always, don't conflate the two. You might be snobbish towards conspiracy theorists but that's no reason to declare they must be hidden. Particularly at the moment when we very do much have a small minority controlling the media narrative which doesn't fit reality at all.

I never stated antisemitism and conspiracy theories are related, I said neither should be prominently displayed. I'm not "snobbish" for disagreeing with "alternative facts" and you can go off and pretend I am all you want. This might as well be called right wing Reddit and you're certainly not convincing me otherwise. Two different kinds of Internet cesspools. Lovely.

I'm theoretically supposed to be able to call out what I disagree with here. So are you. Go ahead and go off, call me whatever you want, IDGAF. I see the echo chambers are already working here similarly to Reddit and I'm disappointed. Maybe I shouldn't have expected better.

Unless the mods start caring so many people will be turned off by this site there's no way it will be able to compete with Reddit. Let people leave if they don't agree with everything? That's certainly not in the rules. Is this about free speech or not? Do we want something with actual mass appeal or not?

By all means say whatever you want, but that doesn't mean everyone wants to see it.

Right, you are only calling for censorship, and now playing the victim. Look, if you don't like the content leave.

If you don't like my content leave the post. You don't like being told that, I bet, so why bother telling me? This site is supposedly about open debate, not trying to intimidate people you disagree with into leaving. Come back when you have some actual debate.

[–]Extract 24 insightful - 4 fun24 insightful - 3 fun25 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Thing is, you are not debating - you are saying "people (implying yourself as well) are going to leave unless a specific type of content gets censored (and yes, supression is censorship)".

The other person said what most of us agree with - people who want to leave unless something they dont like is censored (be that you or not) can as well get the fuck out right now and save themselves some time.

If you dislike specific comments in a thread, take the time to call them out (or debank them), or upvote comments doing so.

If you dislike the content of the front page, upvote better posts.

Like it or not, those conspiracy theorists are creating actual content for this site, while all you are doing is bitching about them.
Ironically, the very solution to this would be for you to create and upvote better content.

Dude's account is 2 days old and one of his only posts is conveniently calling for the censorship of "antisemitic conspiracy theories". His intentions are crystal clear.

[–]Jesus 13 insightful - 4 fun13 insightful - 3 fun14 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Yup ignore him. His intentions are overt.

[–]book-of-saturday 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly, these are the very same old tactics they used at reddit Obvious concern trolling

[–]noice 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

+1 on the calling-out / debunking specific comments. It's sometimes fun to do, and the community is generally appreciative (with upvotes)

That's the stupidest come back I have ever read. You made this thread, you invited criticism. It is you who is hiding behind a proxy pretending to speak for those who can not. It is you who are calling for censorship. It is you who are whining about the content you don't like. It is you who have the problem and it is you who are trying to intimidate me, here and now by again playing as a victim. I can not emphasis this enough, if you don't like the content on the front page. Fuck off! We don't cater to your demands!

2 day old account with a post history that only spans 1 page, and he's already calling for censorship of "antisemitic conspiracy theories" lol. Dude's obviously getting tired if he's this careless about hiding his intentions.

0/10 Nice concern trolling attempt OP
