I didn't meant to imply Saidit is objectively doing bad right now.

But, judging by activity I observe here vs there, even just the upvotes and large subs, it seems they currently have more of it.
Search trends are one thing, but there are other metrics for growth - word of mouth never worked better than coordinated advertisement (even when it is, too word of mouth - but directed, focused one, based on an actual strategy).

Sure, I believe Saidit will keep growing - but as it stands, Ruqqus will overtake it, for its more passionate userbase if nothing else.
Not that this is a bad thing, by the way - more options are indeed always good.
But, if this site consolidates its place as the "one of the alternatives" while Ruqqus is "the Alternative", the new users will dry out, and the content will start becoming more stale - a process that will take months (maybe a year or two), but will eventually happen unless you actively prevent it.

If you take proper dosage (200ml/week for 2 weeks), rather than the ridiculous amounts the WHO and similar organizations used (IIRC it some used about 250ml on the first DAY), it becomes exponentially safer.

Hell, you can look around for existing HCQ measures against malaria. The dosages there have been used for years. Why, exactly, are the same dosages "dangerous" now?

And, if it's so dangerous in general, why is it sold over the counter in most of the world? Why do citizens of countries like Iran and India get the freedom to choose which slightly risky medication they use, but Americans don't?

Thanks for finally providing the link.

Now that you have provided claims based on evidence, I can finally respond that claiming the other doctors are wrong because this one says the same thing is guild by association, a logical fallacy.

If you actually listen to the vid I linked, you can see those doctors refer to a legitimate, peer reviewed paper.
Also, you will hear about democratic states granting pharmacists the authority to override doctor prescription of HCQ.
Would they really be doing that if it was ineffective? Come on, any sane person who has been following the recent news knows they'd gladly let the people take the meds and die, then have a field day in the media how Trump is to blame by promoting it.
Instead, they do anything they can to block people from buying and taking it. Why is that?

Car semi-automation can actually work, as long as there is good network coverage - have a single human operator center (say, 50 operators) per X cars (for example 10,000), who can take control of the vehicle once it us "unsure" of the road. This would be a subscription based service, of course.
The fallback to this would be the cars slowing down, and eventually stopping, if the drivers do not take manual control.

Ok, I understand privacy concerns, but this is simply insane.

At the modern day and age, anything even slightly scalable operates on JS.
Any web app is running on JS.
Those "half the sites on the internet" that are unusable without JS? Those are basically all the sites except for a few walking dinosaurs, and a ton of landing pages and similar static content.
Sorry, as much as I dislike the fact, the web is no longer usable without JS. Moreover, there are countless more grave privacy concerns on other layers, such as the ISP, or your data being tracked and distributed via seemingly unrelated sites.
Asking to sacrifice JS now is the same as asking countries to waste billions to "help combat climate change" when not only would it cripple their economy, but in fact even if they reduced their pollution to zero, the reduction would still be a drop in a bucket compared to China/India, thus insignificant on a global scale.

A free speech forum can still decide on the range of topics it wants to cover. If it doesn't want to cover porn, but you are free to speak of any other topic, it's still a free speech board, as long as other topics are not selectively censored based on things unrelated to the decided range of discussion topics.

Check out this resource thread on shill tactics and this post becomes much more clear to you.

1) Identify division point (some people are ok with porn, others aren't).

2) Ask an "innocent" question as to the length of the boundaries related to this point ("So no porn allowed? Maybe just a bit? How about tits only?").

3-a) Get sympathetic response, push the boundaries farther, repeat the above (on a seemingly unrelated account) later on.
3-b) Get hostile response - wait a few days, then go cry about "the uncivil community" for defending its rules and their boundaries with passion.

Whether he did it on behalf of others or for his own coomer agenda is a different question, but the fact remains.

Ah, my old friend False Dischotomy, with a bit of Affirming the Disjunct to boot.

Your claim is that to support free speech, you must either support every type of expression or none at all? Yeah, that's a pile of bullards.

  1. A free speech forum can still decide on the range of topics it wants to cover. If it doesn't want to cover porn, but you are free to speak of any other topic, it's still a free speech board, as long as other topics are not selectively censored based on things unrelated to the decided range of discussion topics.

  2. Lines in the sand as to what constitutes harmful content has already been drawn, many years ago, and include many topics, such as the stated pedophilia and rape. What defines a true free speech platform is the resolve to not move those lines, protecting itself against a slippery slop leading in either direction. Dumpster fire sites like reddit have not treated those lines with respect, and look what they became over 10 years.

I'm not defending some of the blatant antisemitism around here, but...

Why join the site at that point when there are many other social media sites available that don't have this problem?

Because some people are smart enough to realize that those problems would exist in any free-speech board, as long as antisemitism exists?
Those who fail to understand this are free to go back to their safe spaces - oh, wait, many of those who come here do so because they got kicked out of those spaces.

Others come here because, despite having some antisemites and a few total loonies, there is a large rational majority, much bigger than any other place that's free speech (excluding maybe www.gab.com).

The best weapon against shills trying to fabricate problems is to take away any legitimate pretense they might have for those problems.

Now, they can no longer claim they only want the admins to censor others "because they don't want to see all those scare posts".
Of course, they can still claim more radical things, but it becomes much clearer to a neutral observer just how radical those demands are, and accept the shill for what it is.

Big corp censorship is a topic that spans across all the political spectrum, except a few left-wing extrimists who this censorship currently benefits.

Anti-antifa/Anti-blm posts, are, again, likely posted by all Americans who are living near those insurrection groups. Those are everybody but those groups themselves, and those who support them.

Israel ethnically cleansed them when it was founded. It's a pretty ugly story.

Is that why the silent majority of arabs in Israel is integrating into the society, despite the extreme minority you hear about?

On a related note - does this mean you support America giving back lands it brutally occupied from the natives, after often slaughtering the defendants?

You should stop treating this as an American issue.

The establishment of the whole west has been trying to hide those opinions - and the whole west has a silent (or less silent, in countries less corrupt than America) majority rising up against them, some countries more successfully than others.

No, I just posted it explain why I wont be replying nearly as much as you write - since, unlike you, I'm not here that much time.

Another insult.

Calling out shit opinions is the basis of what constitutes a healthy forum. The insinuation that they shouldn't be called out due to being "an insult" is what allows SJW cancer to spread in places like Reddit.
Notice this said nothing about you, just your last question.

It matters because you condemnation of the UN seems hollow

... and you proved just what I said above - this question served no purpose other than to try to create a "gotcha" moment, as clearly the condemnation is "shallow" when the answer doesn't suit your argument.

It matters because you condemnation of the UN seems hollow. You shouldn't oppose the UN because it's anti Israel (it's really not). You should oppose the UN because it a step towards world government which is a very bad thing and a thing pushed by Israeli jews and secular Jews alike.

a) I oppose it because it's a cancerous tumor, that, given more authority, would allow its corruption to spread.

b) In what world are you living, where Israel is promoting the UN? I'm sure you might find a few anti-Israel jews who happen to live there promoting it, but find me actual, government campaigns to promote it.

Too much text. It's pretty clear you have nothing better to do but post this type of threads/comments, but some of us do.
Still, I'll reply to a few.

Ah. There it is. Defending the actions of international Israeli spying and false flagging by slipping in that some kids threw some stones that one time. Lol.

Rofl I literally linked a thread exposing the largest one - false flag in the last war (that I followed).

Of course it wasn't censored. Reddit is full of pro Israel types. It's literally the online home of neo liberalism. No western media conglomerate is anti Israel. It's just not allowed in the west for obvious reasons. White people are only allowed to hate certain groups of people.

Do you expect me to link censored threads? Everybody who followed (or still follows) major Reddit political subs can see the clear anti-Israel bias. Every recent thread on Israel has a countless "Fuck Israel" comments, usually at the top.

Lol. Was that before of after reddit banned over 2k wrong think right wing subs?

Lol. How is this supposed to be connected? Just because there were a few conspiracy theorists who happaned to be anti-jew there, doesn't make it the reason for their ban. Or are you going to claim subs like /r/ConsumeProduct or /r/BigChangus were anti-jew?

Cool so you'd support dismantling the UN?

What kind of retarded question is this. I'd personally support it, like everybody here who is against those dens of corruption, but how exactly is this supposed to matter?

As part of the /s/ShillWall efforts, I'd like to highlight the uses of the following fallacies in this thread:

  1. Loaded Title - the title already implies everything on this sub is "Alt-Right", without the post providing any evidence that lead to the claim.

  2. Guilt By Association - when asked to define "Alt-Right", OP replies "Big corp censorship posts Anti- antifa/blm posts Gun rights posts Anti gender issues posts", implying that since some right people support those causes, everybody who does is "Alt-Right".

Note that this post is merely made to highlight logical fallacies used by OP, not accuse the user of using them as part of a shilling campaign.

[–]Extract 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I'll leave this one up, because it does technically speak about internet propaganda, even if it's relatively off-topic to saidit itself.
It does not, however, assume this means I condone targeted anti-semitism.

Why I say this post has an agenda?
Because you choose to highlight a tiny country's propaganda, over countless more severe cases.

In fact, lets recap the current tactics by Antifa - wearing fake red-cross armbands, journalist uniforms, etc, committing violence (such as throwing bricks), then having a hostile propaganda machine independent journalistic outlets frame any retaliation as "attacks against red-cross workers and journalists" - and have the MSM crank down on any avenue exposing the truth, both of their false flagging or the media bias.

This very tactic has been used by the "Palestinians" (aka Hamas terrorists) far before it was cool in America.
Here you can see the largest relevant post on Reddit from that wasn't censored. If I saved a screenshot, or incremental footage of /r/new back then, you'd see that this was rare - most pro-israel threads very heavily brigaded on /new, while various misinformation was rampant across the board.
Sure, there were some JDF shills in the threads there, yet they were also joined by people who disliked the media bias and censorship trying to push the forced anti-Israel narrative down their throats - largely the same way they do to Americans those days.
And even then, they were still heavily outnumbered by muslim shills.

Here is another comment higlighting UN bias against Israel - one of the most corrupt global organizations, which also happens to be a strong proponent of the woke cancer those days, has been after Israel for decades now. This means they are at least doing something right.

It evolved the definition of "product" to cover various ideologies shoved down your throat (the same way other corporate products often).
It's not anti-left, it's anti-forced-ideologies - which include extreme left ones, but not only. Here is an example of making fun of some pretty dumb MAGA trend.

The difference here is that there is no downvoting on saidit.
Thus, there is no way to "downvote brigade".

Also, for "spamming", there will be clear rules to prevent that - and if people do not follow those rules, it's up to the moderators of specific communities to ban those people, like I know I will do.

The purpose of this community is to call out shills, and upvote a single post detailing why the thread seems to be made by a shill, and which internet forum subversion tactics were already used by the alleged shill.
I see no reason why a single comment chain would become "spam", especially if it can only be visible if enough people agree with it and upvote it.

You can do a lot of things about it.
What you wont find is a silver bullet to solve this quickly and easily - however, here are three simple (in concept, not implementation) solutions:

  1. [Technical] Keep up to date and improve systems for user activity pattern detection (strange spikes of upvotes, upvoting threads/comments they never viewed before, etc).

  2. [Organizational] As the forum owners, keep the users aware of the shill attacks, and educated to understand how they operate.

  3. [Crowd Sourced (what you can do)] Keep other users educated about shill tactics. I have, in fact, just created the future sub where such efforts can be organized.

On a related note (and don't answer this here, by the way), I really hope you guys have at least some of the heavy-duty user-behavior analyzers that current Reddit has - the kind that takes as input the login/view/upvote pattern of monitored accounts, and outputs the likelihood of it matching specific models (which are tuned to find shills, trolls, etc).

You should really focus on this (either development or improvement) if you hope this site survives, as at some point (once saidit is large enough) manually banning shills is going to become impractical, while letting them brigade unchallenged is even worse.

Hmm, another account with no comment history going "we need to hide those no-no opinions away".
I wonder what this could be..

I'll just leave this here:

What if I told you, that the last refugee wave was large enough for some propaganda organizations to put this site on their radar?

What if I told you the concern trolls posting those threads/comments are the first wave of shills, whose goal is to slowly corrupt this site the same way most platforms (like many subreddits, in their time) get corrupted? Notice how most of those concern trolls highlight problems that could actually be solved by their own participation - but, that would actually help the site, while their goal is clearly to (slowly) undermine it.

They will also cite the new influx of users as a good thing, and threaten it ends if $demandList isn't met, while in reality much of this activity is artificially created by those shills (not most votes, just the early spike that makes it visible enough for other people to upvote it for the sake of discussion).

This isn't going to stop, by the way - this is only going to get worse the more popular this site gets bigger.
