SF's decades of Dem dominated government has made that city become a real shit hole. And yet in spite of $1.7M toilets, $80K homeless tents, $20K trash cans and a total failure to enforce the law for fear of offending BLM and antifa, the citizens continue to vote in the Dems. Just look out, the contagion is spreading as Gov Newsom pushes for the presidency.

I used to wonder why people support violent dictators. They will never get the opportunities from that regime that they would from a civilized society. Then I had an epiphany while watching a documentary about children in work camps. All the guards were freely raping all the women and children. That is not something they would ever be allowed in civilized society. That is what democrats want.

They don't think they would ever amount to anything in civilized society anyway. They say poor people who think hard work will make them wealthy are stupid. So in thier mind destroying the possibility of class mobility for everyone is not a loss to them, but all the little scraps that dems throw them are a win. They would gladly raze the city to the ground to be given a free tent in a slum.

And after reading that, I'm suddenly reminded of those stories about how the (federal) government would hide its black budget in the inflated prices it supposedly paid for things like toilet paper and screwdrivers. Only in this case, I'm wondering who in SF had their pockets quietly lined with the difference between what was paid and it actually cost.

Though, admittedly, I could have read that wrong and that's actually the total amount spent on those things, not the per-item cost.

I'm not making it up. It's PER item. The $1.7M toilet was cancelled after a backlash though.

As for getting these things done, I'm sure that the contractors are friends and family of those in city government and of course there's benefits in the form of kickbacks to those same city government people. It's the way things work.
