It's remarkable the number of people who simply assume that this is already wildly popular with the American Right. They are so deeply mired in propaganda that they assume half their own country is so stupid that evidence of this being any more than just another pointless, failed phishing attempt is unnecessary.

If they ever bumped into a Trump supporter, they'd prolly choke on their own indignation when it turned out they could speak fluent English and not German with a Nazi leaning.

"But if they were smart, they would have voted for Hillary the first time and Biden the second, because everyone smart knows that only Democrats are good for America!" /s

There's really no question that the American Right contains a disproportionate share of very old men.

Sometimes very old men don't brain too well.

True. Brain sometimes good not.
I'm sure conservatives tend to be older overall, and it's true that older people, left behind by technology, sometimes fall for grifts like this... However, I don't seem the comments in this thread pointing out that, because of the age bracket, they expect there to be a lot of victims. Rather, the assumption in that thread is that, as I said, everyone who might vote for Trump is blindingly stupid.

They genuinely are just overwhelmed by the input they get from social media and the echo chamber of their chosen media outlets. They have trouble imagining a situation in which they might meet a Conservative who isn't a moron or a "Cultist", as they put it.

I had to clamp down hard on the urge to ask how many of the people commenting there fell for the Biden/Harris scam a few years back and still believe it'll pay off any day now.

Reddit has double-standards on everything. The "Day of Insurrection" was planned and organized on Reddit, scheduled for Jan 20th, 2017 (Inauguration Day). The US tax payers paid a ton of money for extra security that day, which quelled the violent anti-democracy activists.

That's proper "fools gold".
