Aphobia is complete lack of fear. Aphobia is wonderful.

Let us all be aphobes, loudly and proudly.

Big agree!

I assume the "aphobia" is mostly people saying asexual doesn't belong, which is true. Being asexual has never been illegal or discriminated against. It's just people seeking attention.

Asexuals are 4 groups of people:

1) Unattractive virgins, mostly people who gave up on dating or just can't get a SO or sex so they pretend to be "asexuals" to cope with it. In truth, they just can't get sex.

2) Attention seekers, like most of TQ+

3) People with medical reasons. Many of these people would fix their sex drive problem just by visiting a doctor.

4) Actual asexuals who aren't attracted to anyone whatsoever but are probably very rare.

Most asexuals fall into the first 3 groups.

Yep I also agree with that.

The 3rd one specifically caught my attention as I remember someone on asexual subreddit saying that they once used to feel attraction to others but no longer does so therefore they're asexual. Goddamn, that's not asexuality.

I'd add a 5th group which consists of teens. They definitely fall under the 2nd group too but some of them just learn so early about asexuality before they even form their own sexual attraction to other people. It's been always so infuriating for me. I wasn't so quick to identify myself as asexual on my teen years (back then I assumed that being very oddly passive "straight" person meant I'm straight... issue is I had no interest whatsoever) and waited until I was 18 to explore it further.

5) People who have issues that they need to talk to a therapist about.

The prefix "a" in English is used to indicate "without" or "a lack of" in the construction of a noun.

In the term asexual, it is used semi-correctly to indicate a lack of sexuality or sexual orientation. Without sexuality.

Aphobia means "without phobia." A fearless, open-minded, inclusive person would be described as "aphobic."

Not whatever this dumb shit is.

That's a good point, I suppose it would have to be something more along the lines of 'acephobia' if it were to be anything at all, which I doubt.

back to hiding for me

Who are they hiding from? This language is so vague. From family members? Would your family even react negatively if they found out you didn't want to date anyone? Compare it to anti-homosexuality laws in 70+ countries.

Meanwhile, another opposite-sex couple is celebrated on r/tttt...

I swear, I lose more patience with gender ideologists with every passing day. They're on par with Christian Fundamentalists.

Same reaction when I read that line. Back to hiding from...what? No action? Same-sex attracted people "hide" by not dating which doesn't make their sexuality known to their families and people around them, asexuals/aromantics don't need to "hide" because they're not gonna date anyway! So ridiculous, not to mention that asexuality is, most of the time, related to health factors. There are many medical reasons why you lose your sex drive, many people mistake it for sexuality. There ARE asexuals but they are probably extremely rare, most of these people would stop being asexual just by visiting a doctor or a therapist.
