You shouldn't be allowed to start medical transition in any way until age 21 at the very earliest. Kids can't drink, vote, drive or smoke but they can be put on Hormones and lob their tits off. Despicable

Most doctors don't let women get their tubes tied until they've had a child or two, yet todlers are out here getting hormone treatments that they can't understand in the slightest that will permanently alter their bodies and potentially make them sterile.

I suppose that's a bit of a lifehack, just ask for hormonal transition to stop your reproductive system working properly if they won't let you sterilize yourself any other way

I agree with this. I don't think anyone should start medical transition until 20 or 21, because they're no longer adolescents. I know your brain and other parts of the body (like liver) are still developing then, but at least you're a chronological adult at 20 and 21.

Bro, listen to the science you nazi. Puberty blockers can pause puberty like a spotify playlist. Listen to the science.

Puberty is the exact same as a microwave pause button, turn on or off whenever you want. It's that simple. Believe in science!!1!

Medical procedures under the guise of "transition" should not be legal at all, because it's been proven that the treatment does not improve the mental state of patients, but actually degrades it and puts their physical health in peril.

I completely agree.

Even if one did believe in the pseudoscience of transgender ideology, though, it would be ridiculous to encourage literal children to make such a drastic and irreversible decision.

True, but these people are operating with the mentality that transition is helpful and medically necessary, so why not start it as early as possible? I think we should go for the root and spread awareness that "transitional" procedures are harmful, regardless of the patient's age.

From Twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/ALLIANCELGB

edit: article is by JD Robertson, who I haven't heard of before but here's her website which has articles about detransitioners: https://thevelvetchronicle.com/

JD Robertson runs a lesbian site with her wife called the Velvet Chronicle. JK Rowling retweeted her.

I love Julia Robertson/JD Robertson/Julia Ghassan Robertson. She’s a lesbian and considers herself a lesbian feminist. Not a political lesbian. Not a radical feminist.

Out of all the voices I’ve heard in the gender debates, I think her position most closely matches my own and no surprise since she’s a real lesbian and I’m particularly concerned about young LGB kids.

Wish there were more people like her, then! I feel weird about calling myself a "lesbian feminist" just because of the "political lesbian" connotations with that phrase, haha.

Same. I’m adverse for the same reasons. I don’t call myself any kind of feminist these days. In one interview Julia differentiates herself from gender critical feminists and radical feminists. Idk how accurate she was about them but labels aside she’s coming at this issue from mostly the same perspective as me. I would love to see Velvet Chronicle blow up. Her first act of subversion to my knowledge was trying to write articles about detransitioners, particularly lesbian ones like Chiara Canaan and give them a voice and being totally shut out by LGBT publications for it and realizing the conflict of interest and how abandoned lesbians were. So she created her own website. She was platformed by the woke within the last few years before they turned on her. She also wrote a “lesbian” book that appears to be health captive by her publisher. I put that in quotes bc she doesn’t think it needs to be referred to as lesbian just bc the main character is one.

When I heard her be interviewed it made me realize just how absent real lesbian voices are from this whole debate. You can tell the political ones bc they never get personal or detailed about homosexuality and stick with discussing women generally (e.g., Julia Bindel) and there is a place for those women in the fight against gender but I do hate how they crowd out real lesbian perspectives. We are criminally underrepresented in this mess especially considering how many of the casualties we bear.

It's funny. I've noticed on sites like AskGayBros, some of the same people who get very militant about not having sex with younger guys (I'm talking legal sex) based on the fact that younger individuals do not have the cognitive capacity to understand the ramifications of such decisions do a 180 degree turn when it comes to transition.

It should be clear to anyone that transition generally has greater ramifications than engaging in consensual sex and that the same arguments about decision-making and cognitive capacity should apply.

I'm in my 20's and I don't feel comfortable dating anyone 19 or 18 and even the age of consent (16-18 depending on state), because they're teenagers. It's also a sub type of paedophilia (even though paedophilia is prepubescent children, but it's one of the types of it). The sub types these people normalise are ages 11-14 and 15-19 year olds. Usually, they're middle aged men (regardless of sexual orientation) in their 40-50's, and claim "hur dur age of consent" "hur dur legal age of "adult"" "hur dur they're actually pubescent children and adolescents". People are willing to justify any of this shit. I've also seen people justifying first-fourth cousins marriage like "hur dur not my immediate family" "hur dur we're literally strangers" (um I know my third and second cousins no thanks).

To be fair, the two cousin unions I know of never produced any children. I get that not everyone may be militant about that, though

Any outcome less than death is supposed to be good when the movement is threatening your 11 year old will suicide. I want to throat punch all the well-meaning liberals who say "tHAT NEvAr HApPEnS" / "Wight wing PwoPaGaNdA!" every time we try to have a conversation about minors transitioning. Children are being put on hormones; minors are having "gender-affirming surgery"; the movement wants MORE minors to have it at younger and younger ages. No, there aren't laws against it.
