I know it could never be implemented because people would throw a huge fit about it, but I wish dating apps would simply allow you to choose whether or not you want to be shown trans people. It would be so much better because everyone would have a higher chance of matching with people they are fundamentally compatible with.

It would be a win for everyone. Trans people would only see people that could be into them. Everyone else wouldn’t have to deal with members of the sex they aren’t into.

But, when do trans people ever worry about consensual behavior?

you know, there's always some talk about genitals when you're about to have sex, but what about before? I don't imagine a gay man would be happy knowing he had been making out with a female instead of a male (let's pretend this person passed). ex.

Some dating/hook up sites already do. Trans people just simply avoid listing they're trans. I definitely agree, & honestly, if there's pushback, it's going to come from the trans people themselves. Which is silly, imho, because why would you waste time on people who aren't interested in you.

Because, you fool, if they just went on maybe 10 dates with a trans woman they would change their mind. Bigot.

You transphobe!!! It should only take one date to realize the beauty and bravery of the trans 'woman' or to realize the handsomeness and courage of a trans 'man' who are both ghostly pale PoCs!! Please educate yourself because I'm LITERally dying fron your VIOLENT language right now and need you to PLEASE CONSIDER validating THE BRAVE & STUNNING trans people!!! PLEASE, i beg you!! It LITERALLY pains me right now. LITERALLLY.

There no validation when person likes you even as trans or because you are trans, they must like you while thinking you are of opposite sex.

I think it's funny how transphobic trans people are themselves, trying to skirt around being trans.

It would be even nicer if a dating app like that didn't let trans people know that they can only be paired with other trans people(just like they do to us...I tried a female-only dating app before meeting my current partner and LOL there's always trans people sticking their nose in there).

Then they'll be confused and mad that the app is "broken" and where all all the "cis" people they want to date at?! After that, we can tell them they have "internalized transphobia" for not even wanting to date those like them haha.

EDIT: they almost made a "female-only" app called Giggle where it had face recognition to allow ONLY women in. But then I heard the app developer is flip flopping stances so idk anymore

I have an idea... Simply say “we are protecting trans women from transphobes by not allowing them to speak hurtful words”
