Wasn’t said to me, said in front of me to my friend. Someone was saying that not wanting to sleep with transwomen is transphobic Because your only reason would be thinking they aren’t real women. My (lesbian) friend asked if she meant only pre or pre and post op. The other person said “doesn’t matter, You shouldn’t have to even ask that. Either way it’s transphobic.” My friend then replied with “I asked because I could maybe see myself dating a post op transwoman if I really liked her, but I have trauma that gets triggered by male bodies”. The other person “well you could always consider a sexless relationship until you’ve been able to get help overcoming that. There’s always a way and never a reason to exclude all women.” Before that, I had only ever seen that shit online, and it was surrounded by so much TRA speak that I was already just going along with that it didn’t register. It was an entirely different feeling to hear it in person. I didn’t peak then, but it was soon after. The person who said it is a heterosexual woman.

until you’ve been able to get help overcoming that.

Help with conversion therapy to overcome homosexuality?

and never a reason to exclude all women

There is always a reason to exclude anyone and any group of people for any reason from your sexual life and dating pool. I dislike very tall guys (190-195+ cm), for example, I am excluding all of them from my dating pool instantly. It does not make me tallphobic, it does not mean I hate all tall people. I am excluding muslims as well from my dating pool (because I know we will not get along, and there no reason for both parties to suffer), it does not make me islamophobic either. I have more than a dozen of transsexual friends (funnily enough, they are all gender critical), but I never will date or have sex with any of them, I do not hate any of them either, the opposite is true - I love them as friends (we have word for this in our language). Love is not "I want to have sex with you", hate is not "I don't want to have sex with you", feelings are not only about acts of sex.

“Help with conversion therapy to overcome homosexuality?”

Not just her homosexuality. Help with being willing to endure conversion therapy to overcome both her sexuality and convince herself that this conversion therapy will cure her of the trauma she experienced from being sexually assaulted by multiple males. The person saying this shit to her knows of her assault. I remember thinking at the time that if a non trans male wanted my friend to fuck him this same person would be disgusted.

“There is always a reason to exclude anyone and any group of people for any reason from your sexual life and dating pool.”

Unless they’re trans, apparently. /s

I should note they initially said “I don’t know, but...” in response to my friend’s question. It sounded like they were regurgitating the party line.

Help with conversion therapy to overcome homosexuality?

Fkn this!

Those people and their allies are so homophobic and not even realizing that they are acting literally like conservative homophobes, they are even repeating word to word same words and ideas.

The person who said it is a heterosexual woman.

Did you question her willingness to date a dickless FtM?

monogamy is heteronormative you need to do your part and be polyamorous with a trans man

The person who said it is a homophobic woman.

The audacity of her. I hope your lesbian friend stood up for herself.

She didn’t. She was just silent and felt guilty. Later I had to tell her she had the right to date or not date whomever she chose. I should’ve said it in front of the other woman.

At least you assure your friend that it was okay to be a lesbian. But the next time this homophobe gives your friend shit in front of you again, repeat what you’ve said to your friend in front of the homophobe.

Yep: reading your story (so appallingly-typical of the trans-besieged hellscape in which we find ourselves), I was just waiting for the now-familiar coda: "Brought to you by a straight chick!" Because doesn't that so often seem to be the case? Heterosexual women as tireless trans-PR flacks, forever hounding lesbians to embrace "girldick". WTF??? Why are they, in particular, so intent on this?

I've always wondered: could it be that THEY feel safe from obligatory "girldick"? Don't think they'll ever have to put their money where their proverbial mouth is? "Oh, yeah? Well, if it's so great, why don't YOU try it?" Because their heterosexuality is a "transwoman" turn-off? Can't be any chance that women are into him as a guy, since that's not "validating" of his all-important ladyfeelz, so only lesbians will do. Meaning that the creepy dudes-in-dresses will never come after them! WHEW.

How I wanna hear these girldick-cheerleaders being met by lesbians with, "You first! Oh, you'd really LOVE to, if only you weren't straight? Haven't you heard that everyone's supposed to be pan now? And sexuality is fluid? And "hearts not parts"? Unlearn your genital fetishism, bigot! Show some empathy to these poor sexually-deprived transwomen-- all that girldick ain't gonna suck itself! So get busy, unless you're a transphobe! REEEEEE!"

Think maybe that'd cure 'em of this TRA bullshit?

Yes! I think they know they’re safe from “girldick”. I’d love to see them respond to being pressured to date and sleep with transmen.

Yeah, really, why the hell is this? I keep seeing this pattern, e.g. on twitter, straight women (usually white, TQ liberal) talking about trans women. But 0 mention for trans men.
