Makes me so angry, this comment:

"I have a feeling that most conflicts come from fear and misunderstanding each other. So I think we need to stop looking at what makes us different but focus on our mutual goals. Accept that everyone is different and listen to what others have to say. "

This "conflict" comes from lesbian villainization. Did they even read the fucking post? I bet this person is not even lesbian, being on a subreddit that is not for lesbians. I just, I don't understand the nerve people must have to feel like they can speak for an entire community, and one that they are not even a part of.

In my experience, the people that want to "speak for communities" have deeply rooted self-confidence issues and a strong desire to feel important. They insert themselves into a "popular/oppressed/etc" group and then attempt to speak on behalf of it to show their importance/intelligence. It's annoying and destructive af.

From a brief look at her profile, she's a self-proclaimed lesbian (100% gay) in her 40s but she more frequently posts in various bisexual subreddits, which is kind of strange. She has talked about her sexuality not being fluid but like what is she getting out of spending more time on bisexual subreddits than lesbian ones? Nvm, I just realized that there are no lesbian subreddits lol. Ofc as a lesbian she's not going to want to spend time in the clusterfuck that is r/AL.

Haha, I was about to reply this. Probably not fair for me to assume she is not a lesbian but there are so few on reddit it's usually safe to assume because of the numbers.

This one is even worse:

Sexuality is like water [...] and it might change in the future. [...] for some people it stays completely fluid and or just changes constantly.

Or this

We [lesbians] have traceable ties to bigoted groups over a large span of time

What are those scary big bigoted groups that were forever associated with lesbians? I don't know any. "Not wanting dick" groups they mean, or what?

Some dumbass: “Quick preface, I have had (and am open to, though not in any way pursuing) relationships with men. However, my primary attraction, by an overwhelming majority, is to women. I wear my gayness on my sleeve, in that I have what most would consider to be a generally "butch" physical presentation, though not entirely so in my demeanor. I honestly don't really get flack from anybody, in our out of the community.”

Gee whiz, maybe it’s because you JUST admitted that you’re actually bisexual and down to date any cute guy that approaches you. Why would anyone hate you for being exclusionary when you’re DTF? And why on earth would you think you should be speaking for lesbians, or that it’s appropriate for you to tell them what problems they are or aren’t facing?

Yeah EXACTLY. I saw that one. Like, does this person have any self-awareness??

"But I tend to say things like, I’m not into guys, or I’m a gay girl, or just simply girls are just so god damn cute."

That sounds very Kwir and not Heterosexual Male at all..

I have never heard a girl or woman, whether gay/straight/bi, ever speak like that. That's 100% a dude. Whether it's a 15-year-old straight boy or a 45-year-old straight man trying to sound like a 15-year-old lesbian is anyone's guess because they end up sounding the same.
