One of the final things to peak me was learning what exactly men are willing to put innocent babies through to satisfy their disgusting fetish. Even someone sympathetic to TW should be able to see how fucked up this is! I'm not an expect and I haven't gone beyond a cursory google so please correct me if I'm wrong, but even if a man lactates the baby won't get the same nutrition, right? Also I didn't look to see if they were in the US but apparently on of the drugs they're using to induce lactation is banned there (as if that would stop him though)

I hate this so so much and I'm so sad for this woman and for her baby and for the fact that anyone could see this as something normal.

Yes.

https://www.fda.gov/drugs/investigational-new-drug-ind-application/how-request-domperidone-expanded-access-use

Domperidone is not currently a legally marketed human drug and it is not approved for sale in the U.S. On June 7, 2004, FDA issued a public warning that distributing any domperidone-containing products is illegal. FDA also issued an Import Alert instructing FDA field personnel to detain shipments of finished drug products and bulk ingredients containing domperidone, and refuse admission into the US. FDA took this action because of the concern about the potential serious health risks associated with the use of domperidone by lactating women to enhance breast milk production.

The serious risks associated with domperidone include cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and sudden death. These risks are related to the blood level of domperidone, and higher levels in the blood are associated with higher risks of these events. Concurrent use of certain commonly used drugs, such as erythromycin, could raise blood levels of domperidone and further increase the risk of serious adverse cardiac outcomes.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domperidone#Rare_reactions

Domperidone use is associated with an increased risk of sudden cardiac death (by 70%)[33] most likely through its prolonging effect of the cardiac QT interval and ventricular arrhythmias.[34][35] The cause is thought to be blockade of hERG voltage-gated potassium channels.[36][37]

In Britain a legal case involved the death of two children of a mother whose three children had all had hypernatraemia. She was charged with poisoning the children with salt. One of the children, who was born at 28 weeks gestation with respiratory complications and had a fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux and failure to thrive was prescribed domperidone. An advocate for the mother suggested the child may have suffered neuroleptic malignant syndrome as a side effect of domperidone due to the drug crossing the child's immature blood-brain-barrier.[43]

Oh cool so even more horrifying than I thought!

Not only is this obviously incredibly abusive to the child since he is obviously neglecting the risks of transmission via breast milk to engage in his fetish, but any parent who would take drugs that are known to have such serious health risks for what appears to be no real gain is a wildly irresponsible parent.

It is horrifying. It is a red flag suggesting that he is going to be a narcissistic parent. The baby is not even born yet and already he is expecting it to validate his identity and prop up his fragile ego, baby's needs be damned.

Oh, most definitely. Nursing mothers are supposed to avoid caffeine and aspirin and only take medications and supplements approved by a doctor, but this monster can poison a baby and be praised for his bravery. He'd probably see nothing wrong with a womb transplant either. An infants health and safety and life is just a small price to pay for the sweet sweet gender euphoria amirite ladies (/s)

Yes, when men "lactate," what comes out of their nipples is nothing like what a nursing woman produces in terms of chemical composition or quantity. Women have to produce copious amounts of milk to sustain a child, and the nature of the nutrients and immune factors change as the child grows and his/her needs change.

Plus, prior to when their milk "comes in," women in the first few days after giving birth produce the miracle substance called colostrum, which is a way of transferring their acquired/adaptive immunity (antibodies) to their newborns.

I don't even think it's even been proven that any men actually "lactate." What some men do in some circumstances - such as certain cancers or high stress - is produce a milky-looking discharge from their nipples. But milky-looking nipple discharge is the not the same as breast milk! Often it's just pus.

Oh shit I was so focused on the fucked up pill regimen I didn't even think about colostrum. And that's what I thought, but god forbid anyone try to research it without being accused of transphobia. Here's hoping the mother steps in and he isn't the only one "feeding" the baby.

Let's hope he doesn't feed the baby at all. The spironolactone he's on has proven to pass through women's breast milk, so it will most likely be passed to the baby by this guy's nipple discharge too.

Common side effects of spironolactone include:

Drowsiness Lethargy Headache Mental confusion Rash Hives Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) Enlarged breast tissue in males Impotence Menstrual disorders Abdominal cramping Diarrhea Gastritis Nausea Vomiting Breast pain Low white blood cell count (leukopenia) Electrolyte disturbances Leg cramps Dizziness Hair loss Itching

Oh god they’re risking SJS and TENS? Some of the most agonising and brutal reactions the body can muster. The skin peels away as though the person had been boiled.

They’re risking this happening to a baby when the baby will not be harmed at all without taking the risk, and stands to benefit in absolutely no way by being put at risk?!

I could puke. It’s not possible for every child to get lucky and not be harmed by this selfishness. Children will be hurt and at risk of a terrible death so dad can pretend he’s a woman until it stops being fun for him. Bet mum will be allowed to feed her own child once he decides he prefers his nipples unchapped.

Trans people on hormones likely aren't even safe to touch babies.
