We did not adequately vet her background before formally hiring her.

LOL, how can this be? How can an internet company not think to, or know how to, use the internet to do some basic searches to vet prospective employees?

The whole sad, ugly story of the weird, rapid rise in UK politics and to national prominence of Ashton Aimee Challenor was well documented in British media sources, all of which are widely available around the world. Since the dominant language in the UK and the USA is English, reddit admins wouldn't even have needed to use a translation app to get the dirt on Ashton Aimee.

They knew. There are way too many TIM friends as admins and mods.

This announcement means nothing at all.

I wonder? Do you think there's enough TIMs on the mod team that they managed to keep it under wraps from the heads at Reddit? Think there'll be even more blowback against the rest of the TIM admins who helped keep this under wraps?

No, no need to keep it under wraps when this is the end-game of a huge portion of tech actors. See Twitter's refusal to take down child sex abuse material posted to their site.
