That’s because the word woman was never used as a gender based word but denoted sex class. Always. This whole thing that woman means gender extra is nonsense. Historically it has never been used to mean hair and makeup or feelings.

What even is gender though? Whenever someone conflates woman with dress/makeup wearing, long hair having, submission they reinforce toxic gender stereotypes for the rest of us women. Can't I just be female exactly as I am without being told that I'm less of a woman for not performing femininity?

Right? Like, nowadays, what the heck is "gender" anyway if not a sexist stereotype of masculinity and femininity? I'm glad my native language doesn't have the equivalent word for 'gender.' Female/woman and male/man all fall into "sex type" category.
