I've been listening to a few interviews with Harry Miller - a man in the UK who had the police come to his workplace about transphobic tweets (and eventually won a court case against them) - and he has mentioned that trans people can choose to have a police person of a gender they choose, to check them (say if they had drugs on them). Which if it's a man requesting a woman and she has to check his nether region is akin to sexual assault.

But this lady, a rape survivor, is transphobic for wanting a female medic? Fucking hypocrisy.

I remember Levi Bellfield would only confess his rapes and murders to a female officer so he could get off on torturing more women.

They need to change this to protect female officers from abusers. In that case they already had enough to convict Bellfield without him saying anything and he didn't actually admit to the most famous murder he committed. These psychopaths just play games with the police.

It's where transwomen could make themselves useful - send in a TW officer (or a man who identifies as genderfluid and is playing a woman today) to search or check any man calling himself a woman. Problem solved

It's ridiculous. Sigh.

Female cops generally wouldn’t blink at the thought of either a frisk or strip search regarding a transgendered woman, they’re trained accordingly. Transwomen are over represented when it comes to crime among the LGBT, at least in Victoria, so it’s not uncommon for a female officer to accommodate a transwoman should the need arise.
