The neovagina subreddit was a public service. I saw more than one post from a by then detransed person who credited it with saving him from a terrible mistake. If nothing else, it warned anyone wanting to transform intact healthy male genitalia into a neovagina to avoid The Butcher of Montreal at all costs (he's a Montreal surgeon who seems to specialize in MTF surgeries , with dubious success).

And one for phalloplasties as well. I think those are just as gruesome. The huge amounts of flesh taken off arms to form a neo-penis shook me, nevermind the rates of necrosis.

I was looking at these in a r/18+nsfw sub. Commented. Received responses. Replied. Then realised that the person I was debating was either super stupid or really young. Checked their profile: 14yo. Female. On hormone blockers. Suicidal thoughts. Parents who wont support surgery. Curious about phalloplasty.

Had to respond cautiously. Sucks knowing that kid was being groomed and practically predated on that sub. Not even sure if I should have reported it somehow, someway...but it felt dangerous to intervene.

Neovagines are allowed while my campaign to graft many ears into my scalp go ignored. It's not fair.

It's all those haters who claim it wouldn't be the same, just because there's no cochlea, eardrum, or auditory nerve.

That site is pretty dead, though. Looks like someone made it after the subreddit got banned, but then stopped posting after a few posts.

I never heard of the original sub. I'm curious to check this website out, but only if there are no pictures. Are there?

Honestly I think this is a terrible idea I know you are saying you think it educates people on the realities of the surgery but I think it is wrong to do for several reasons. First being do we know for sure that these individuals consented to the images being used; which may be the case if a surgeon is trying to demonstrate their work. Or is it possibly revenge porn or a violation of some kind. Secondly I genuinely care for the health & safety of trans people whether or not they are my allies or allies to a cause I care about. Having people negatively scrutinize images of your genitals would be humiliating to anyone & I know many here are against pornography because it is degrading so I would consider this equally or more so degrading especially due to lack of consent. I agree trans people can’t change their sex & that female voices shouldn’t be censored but I don’t think this is helping anything.

Reddit technically has one unintentional sub for this called /r/manmadepussy/.

I'm still in support of bringing it back.

there's nothing on that site

Meanwhile, "guro" on reddit shows drawings of decapitated women with their limbs cut off, being raped. That's somehow "okay".

Are you serious????? I have just flashed back to Mary Vincent, 1978, and now I am going to cry.

It's bullshit. I wish I knew someone in the press. Someone has to see this crazy bullshit happening and call it out for what it is. Trans and incel brigading has just forced PCOS to go PRIVATE! They had 50 THOUSAND members! These psychos decided they were "TERFS" and harassed them.

I'm in favour of this as an education tool. I have had conversations with grown adults, all with fully formed and functioning genitalia of their own, who try to reason that "surgical techniques are great these days". Not a single one of them has ever seen the finished product, nor considered the details of the procedures involved and the aftercare required.

r/transgendersurgeries is mostly text, but there're a couple of photos.

I know a trans person myself and I used to think wow, why would anyone want to do this to themselves? I mean if they're that dedicated to want to go through with the surgery knowing all the complications and expenses that come with it, I guess they really want it, so power to them? Because no sane person would just be like "yeah I'll just go fuck up my genitals and arm for this, no biggie", right?

idk what to think of it anymore. I still support them as a person but... it's not my place to say how I feel about it.
