The unofficial rule is "half your age plus seven (assuming they're a legal adult.)" If you're 21, the lowest age you can date without it being creepy is 18. If you're 36, the lowest non-creeper age you can date is 25.

Depends how ugly the younger person is. If your best asset is your youth who is anyone else to tell you that you can't use it because it offends their sensibilities? People with little else should not suffer to appease others with so much more.
