Any formerly-hardcore Democrats considering/have voted Republican? If not, what would it take? by jjdub7 in GenderCritical

I'll admit I'm considering voting GOP for the first time in my life over the vaccine mandates.

It's true the transgender issue is a very good wedge issue for the GOP at the moment. It's certainly necessary to repair our institutions to be resistant to this madness.....but it's less important than stuff like universal healthcare, abortion rights, prison reform or drug decriminalization.

Am I wrong in thinking that when reality finally sets back in with this Trans ideology, I think the people who supported it should feel bad about themselves for it? by Kai_Decadence in GenderCritical

I used to think this was going to happen and one day NPR/CNN/NYTimes and the rest would all turn against gender ideology at once. I remember NPR interviewing Laci Green a few years ago and thinking the dam was just about to burst.

Now I'm not so sure and I think TPTB are promoting this ideology for reasons we are not fully aware of. It's not just about big pharma profits imho. The Chapelle drama and school board drama is demonstrating how ridicuously unpopular gender ideology is yet the MSM seems determined to keep the guilt-trip hustle going as long as possible.

But if I had to predict, odds are that 10 years from now most of the normies who support this will be embarrassed to admit they did.....kinda like being embarrassed to admit to using sketchy drugs or liking stupid bands in the past.

Lol, thanks. Though Chapelle certainly didn't do DaBaby any favors by bringing up the old murder charges.

The best bits related to transgenderism come around 52 minutes into the new Netflix special.

Why is it easier for Bruce Jenner to change his gender than it is for Cassius Clay to change his name?

They've cancelled people more powerful to me...They've cancelled JK Rowling....They started calling her a Terf. I didn't even know what the fuck that was. But I know trans people make up words to win arguments."

I shouldn't speak on this...because I am not a woman....nor am I a trans...but as we've established, I am a feminist. I'm Team Terf!

I'm not saying that trans women aren't women....I'm just saying that those pussies that they got....you know what I mean?

Then he transitions into a story of a trans friend who appeared on one of his specials. Chappelle describes how she was bullied for defending him on Twitter and she committed suicide 6 days later by jumping off a roof.

I felt like Daphne lied to me. She always said she identified as a woman. Clearly, only a man would do some gangsta shit like that.

Hear me out. As hard as it is to hear a joke like that, I'm telling you right now, Daphne would have loved that joke. That's why she was my friend...... I don't know what the trans community did for her but I don't care because I feel like she wasn't their tribe, she was mine. She was a comedian in her soul.

Empathy is not gay. Empathy is not black. Empathy is bisexual. It must go both ways.

Remember, taking a man's livelihood is akin to killing him! Please, do not abort the baby.

Closing line....

With all humility....Will you PLEASE STOP PUNCHING DOWN ON MY PEOPLE

Browsed that sub for a while today and could hardly believe some of it wasn't satire. This TIM seems to get a rush out of building an aura of mystery that attracts straight guys while framing herself as the victim being rejected once these guys learn she's trans. The commenters don't call her out on not informing the guys she dates.

Then there's very dark and tragic posts about post surgery anatomical damage....can't imagine that's a popular topic there. When you get to the point where that TIM is at, you've taken the delusion so far that you have to admit you fucked up....whereupon you are ejected from the subculture.

Then there's threads from teenagers where you can feel the suffering and anxiety the parents must be experiencing.

Reddit's secret rule with a twist. by [deleted] in GenderCritical

Any evidence? Never heard of the rule.

That particular sentence could be deemed "hate speech", so maybe it would fall under Reddit's (batshit) hate speech policies.

As far as I know bans always come from mods not admins. The reason being that if mods allow those comments the sub might get banned. That doesn't mean there aren't subs that allow those comments, which may or may not get banned later.

I think where we go wrong is in taking “the personal is political” mantra too literally. Theory is not meant to be applied directly to life — to indviduals. It is a way to analyze the world around you, systems, practices, patterns, and so on and so forth. Theory is just ideas, at the end of the day, and while it can help us understand certain phenomena, it should not be treated as a rule book, in terms of how we approach every person, situation, or relationship. Yet many radical feminists have done just that.

"the personal is political", as it emerged in (often Maoist or otherwise Marxist) radical feminism in the 1970s, contributed to the origin of identity politics and cancel culture as we know it today. So much of contemporary radlib/neolib discourse, which divides and segments us into helpless identity groups incapable of solidarity, is really a co-opting and perversion of prior discourses with more noble and social intentions.
