Actually. This is true, and HIV doesn't cause AIDS, having it is a sign that you already have AIDS. And everyone already has HIV. Where it's only detectable in people who's immune systems are compromised.

In short, it's all a lie, and don't sleep with people who have compromised immune systems or live bad life styles.

Sort of. Like obviously the person deliberately spreading the disease is evil but you're stupid if you're sleeping around like that anyway.

People want to scream victim blaming when you suggest avoiding behaviors that will lead to you potentially being a victim but such a mindset is stupid. Sure it's not your fault if you get raped when walking around a dark alley at 3 am in a high crime area, it's the rapists fault, but you sure as hell were stupid if you're there without a really good reason and the risk is definitely high. Same logic when traveling places. Yeah it totally sucks you got pickpocketed while visiting the Louvre or whatever but maybe it's not so smart to go wearing designer clothes and other shit that screams "I have money".

Not to say the pickpocket isn't still a thief. Not today the HIV spreader isn't evil, but ultimately you've got to drop the victim mentality and just take steps to keep yourself from becoming one in the first place.
