You're just defending the myocarditis injections as safe and effective, right?

Do you advocate for injections that cause myocarditis?

...did you read my last post, or did you just say "that's too long, I'm not gonna read it"?

I answered that question. Here. Do you want to actually read it this time?

I'm not pushing anything. I think a person's sovereignty over their own body is an inviolable right. No government should ever tell you what to put in your blood, and they certainly shouldn't hold your employment over your head until you comply with them.

That said, most people simply have the COVID vaccines wrong. Liberals think it's zero-risk and critical to the survival of mankind. MAGA types have all kinds of nutty conspiracy theories about how it's full of secret control chips that can turn people into zombies.

The real truth is that it's an early example of mRNA therapy that doesn't work very well, and that it carries unlikely but serious risks. And everyone has to weigh the danger of more serious infection against the danger of the vaccine itself. Ideally, for themselves.

Also, Tom, there's no "we" here. Even here on saidit you're the lunatic fringe. You're speaking for, like, you and one other poster.

I read it.

Now answer this.

Do you advocate for injections that cause myocarditis?

[–]Hematomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

No. I do not "advocate" for anything.

I got vaccinated, and I didn't get myocarditis. I continue to be entirely healthy.

I could not give less of a shit what you do. Get vaxxed, don't get vaxxed, take horse meds, try to shine ultraviolet light into your blood vessels, slice your cock in half and tie it into a knot - it's your body. I'm not gonna tell you what to do with it.

[–]Tom_BombadilBombadildo[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I see.

You got lucky and didn't get myocarditis, but you think it's fine for others to risk it with a injection that doesn't prevent an illness, or prevent others from getting it.

You're a neutral purist, and advocate for all sides.

Gtfooh.

I did a fair bit of research. By which I mean I went directly to NCBI PubMed and read the papers directly. This is not something we should trust journalists with. Journalists are stupid.

The vaccines make it less likely to get SARS-CoV-2, and less likely to get a severe case if you do get it. They rarely have side effects worse than injection site pain, but in rare cases those side effects can be fatal, like anaphylaxis or heart failure.

I did the math and I concluded that given my age and circumstances, while neither course of action was actually very risky at all, the risk of getting vaccinated was slightly less than the risk of staying unvaccinated. So I got vaccinated.

Everybody should do the math for themselves. It's your body, it's your right, it's your responsibility. Decide what's best for you, and then do that thing. Even if that thing is doing nothing at all.

Nice narrative.

Imagine those who did a similar analysis, but also received myocarditis from the injection.

What do you have to say about these unfortunate analysts?

[–]Hematomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That they got unlucky.

And of course there are the Herman Cains of the world, who did their own analysis and stayed unvaxxed, but died of SARS-CoV-2. They also got unlucky.

It's like: in blackjack, you split 7s if the dealer is showing a 6. That is the mathematically correct answer. Now, imagine those who did the math, but the dealer turned out to have a hole 5 and then drew to a 21, and they lost twice their original bet. What do you say to those unfortunate people?

All you can say "Well, shit, sorry that didn't work out."

There is no course of action that will guarantee you a long, happy life. There are only odds. When you get dealt your hand, you play it the best you can. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you die young.
