All Imperialism is fundamentally the same, fundamentally uses the same tricks, fundamentally binds individuals first by culture, then, unbreakably, by genetics, and has only been truly vanquished by genocide. You can even see literally all of this happening during the Roman Republic/Empire period and the Qing dynasty.
