I like your analogy, but in my country we have various parties that get into the parliament, and while people in some of the bigger ones could be considered corrupt etc., we have smaller parties as well, new guys are not corrupt and want to fight against the system. Here in Czechia a lot of parties are starting to voice anti-EU views for example. I don't think they're necessarily all power hungry sociopaths.

It's hard to imagine that big countries like the US, China, Russia, India, which are very culturally different and have different interests, could cooperate all together just to see us suffer or whatever. Not impossible theoretically, just very improbable from my point of view.

You are thinking in terms of "who" gets ELECTED, and in terms of "countries". That's brainwashing 101, and it's a major problem with your mind.

The leaders of all major parties, with any chances of becoming the national leader are all power hungry sociopaths. The others can even be honest good folk, it makes the system look legitimate. Case in point: YOU believe it. And on the off-chance that they do get elected, they will get a good talking to. And if they don't comply, they will get PUT IN LINE. Take JFK for example, a few days before getting shot in the head, he spoke about a worldwide conspiracy to enslave every man, woman and child on the planet, and was about to roll out an ACTUAL monetary system based on precious metals and revoking the Federal Reserved. Offed. That was a coup d'état, but nobody talks about that, right.

On to your second point, "countries" is a word used on the propaganda media to make you swallow the term without questioning it. There is no such thing as "The USA", "China", "Russia", "India", or "Czechia". What do these terms mean? There's politicians in each of these "countries" but they aren't the country. There's the population, but they aren't the country. There's borders, but that's not a country either. There's the land, but it isn't the country either. There's the economy, but it isn't the country. Culture? Sure, but it sure as anything that it is not the country. So what is this "country" thing?

It's an imaginary idea. Nothing else. There is no such thing as a "country" outside your mind. It's a trick. What does "India" do? Well, the political class makes rules, law enforcement enforces these rules on the population, the population tries to live its life, and such is their culture. COUNTRIES EXIST ONLY IN THE IMAGINATION.

Therefore "countries" don't plan or coordinate anything. And you think you know anybody's motives? How? Because of what they SAY? Ever heard of LYING? Also, there's a reason why almost every top politician worldwide has family. An individual can decide to take risks. But if said risks are at the cost of having their 6-year-old daughter flayed in front of their eyes while they are strapped to a chair, I can tell you one thing: THEY WILL DO AS THE MASTERS DICTATE.

Well yeah, because that has been my experience. Elections followed by a period where the governing party/parties ruled.

And on the off-chance that they do get elected, they will get a good talking to. And if they don't comply, they will get PUT IN LINE.

So.. did Trump also get a good talking to? He seems like a guy that had a mind of his own.

That sounds like some dystopian 1984 simulation. After reading this paragraph I guess I could try to predict your answer to my previous question.

I could understand if you made this argument about some place run by drug cartels or something, but this really has not been my experience, nor do I see any indication that this is how things are.

No... They MAKE IT LOOK LIKE "the governing party/parties" ruled. Don't you see how the direction of things never changes, no matter who gets elected? Tiny details change, but the fundamentals keep heading in the same direction. IT'S NOT A COINCIDENCE.

How do you see certain historical events like wars or revolutions - e.g. when the commies got into power in Eastern Europe? What was that all about from your point of view? Just a theater for the common folk?

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You want me to write a book. No. Read Solzhenytsin's "200 years together" if you want the truth about that.

Multiple things. It's never an easy answer. Why do psychopaths do psychopathic things? Can I compress it into an easy to digest pill for you?

No.

The masters are the people who create the money. They don't like you? You become Zimbabwe or Venezuela.

[–]neomarxist_bullshit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That's probably true to an extent. The EU for example influences what's happening through subsidies. They can freeze them if the member states don't behave (like Poland).

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It goes beyond the Eu. The people we are talking about have more money in their bank accounts than most countries have incurred through debt.

some place run by drug cartels or something

Certainly not the US, given our lack of illegal drugs.

Not exactly familiar with the situation in the US, but I'd think of some places in Mexico.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

You haven't experienced enough of it. I bet you have honest and good countrymen who won't vote because they've seen local corruption.

[–]neomarxist_bullshit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

There are definitely a lot of people who don't vote, the percentage is even higher when it comes to the European Parliament elections. Not idea why, I always assumed some people just have nobody to vote for or can't be bothered.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

No, we have no confidence in our systems.

You believe in media narratives. A lot of them.

[–]neomarxist_bullshit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

No, we have no confidence in our systems.

Could be. But in elections you can still affect something. Look at Hungary how they have been turning against the EU thanks to Orbán.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think that's a case of a rogue servant, not a good person getting elected into office. There have been tons of such characters, but they aren't worthy of respect or admiration.

And they definitely play ball with villains to some degree.

[–]neomarxist_bullshit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well that could be true, but we have anti-EU parties as well in Czechia, one of them is in your parliament right now, and others could join after the next elections. Elections here do change some things so I don't think it's a completely lost cause.

But as others suggested I might not be as experienced in life as others so maybe I'm still an optimist when it comes to certain things, who knows.

You base all belief on the world off of your little country?

That's why i said maybe you ought to see more of the world.

Reality looks improbable from your position. Obviously, you have an unrealistic position.
