If you're black, you get treated favorably.

In some job searches, yes.

At traffic stops, no.

When one applies for a job, there is often a human resources questionnaire on which one has to select 'race' (or opt out of the selection), somtimes with 10 or 15 races to select, with several kinds of white, several kinds of asian, several kinds of mixed &c. It's really annoying, and in place so that the administrative bean counters can justify their hiring practices. In my view it's nuts. Sometimes I am racist, but I don't like racism. It's not really measured in intentions. It's measured in outcomes, micro-aggressions &c. As much as I am prejudiced against several kinds of people, I try to make the outcomes of my approaches not show it.

The discussion is about Race as a social construct and that 'race' is NOT scientifically verifiable for reasons I noted elsewhere in the discussion. Thus 'race' is "real", if that's your concern, but only "real" in terms of our personal assumptions about it, not because there is a scientific process for determining race (mainly because we're all somewhat mixed). If this is not clear in my comments, please have another look.

There is no scientific way to determine the existence of biogenetically distinct races, especially because almost everyone is somewhat "mixed", and thus will not fit appropriately within biogenetically distinct race categories.

Ah, there's your problem. You made the assumption that there are clear boundaries between the races. This is not the case. As in most things in nature, the boundaries are fuzzy. But there are clear clusters that are identifiable by science. Ethnic Jews are a distinct group, for example.

Let's go with your logic that race is a social construct. Let's also go with your next logic that we need to force ourselves to see race because we have to counter whites being racist to blacks.

If societal 'racism' is as bad as you think it is don't you run the risk that after we persecute 'whites' for their systemic racism towards black we never stop persecuting them? Even after all stolen goods and historical malice has been 'restored'. How do I know that you and your 'anti racist' Bolsheviks are going to stop seeing race? Exactly at what point are whites done paying back blacks and other racial groups? What point does your militant commune of anti racist allies stop seeing whites as a race and flip back to this 'race blind' society that you claim is the real goal?

Think of the irony: those who think science and facts should not be trusted also tend to push the disinformation that 19th century notions of scientific racism should be used to justify racist actions.

Racists shouldn't worry that racism is well known as a social construct. It won't stop racists from hating others. And regardless of the source of that hatred it will never be justified.
