It's at least partly because M7 has a love/hate relationship with the kind of people who would want to use a site like this. Unfair bannings cause other users to leave out of sympathy for the victims. The site has gone offline for multiple days at a time twice in the past couple months. M7 thought it would be a good idea to make a teenage boy pretending to be a girl one of the admins, and their erratic behaviors drive users away. Spam on the front page is out of control, and is probably the bulk of site traffic starting on March 21st.

🇮🇳 India 48.1%

Scroll down to the usage graph, and while you can't see it anymore, that massive jump on 3/21 was preceded by many months of a steady decline. You can't trust Alexa to be totally accurate, but that is a weird and dramatic surge in site traffic that doesn't appear authentic.

a free speech platform.

It's definitely not. But what's really unfortunate is that saidit is still one of the best commenting/link-aggregator sites around, despite all those flaws.

When PuttItOut suicided voat, M7 talked about how he keeps costs low for saidit, apparently unlike old voat. So I assume he's just absorbing the ongoing costs. (Or someone is paying to study us, but probably not.) Saidit could be great again if it just became an actual free speech site, and found a way to eliminate most of the spam.

Saidit was antiextremes.com when I made my account, and despite the name change, the policy of fence-riding that lingered has kept numbers low enough that driving even a few active users away really hurts the site. I don't have the tech skills or the patience to run a site like this, so I very much appreciate the work M7 has put into saidit, even if some of his efforts have (imo) hurt more than helped.

As for your discussion of niggers, and the people aware of them, it's helpful to have an accurate view of reality. Niggers are simply unable to adjust their behaviors to fit the norms of civilization. This is a problem for those of us who would prefer to live in a functional society.

Everything you just said is wrong.

    Try to make a counter-argument.

By "erratic behaviors drive users away" he really means:

Attacking other users as a site admin on a number of occasions.

    It [spam] ain't that bad.

    It's been worse, agreed.

What he really means by this [the policy of fence-riding] is

Like the word anti-extremes implies, ignoring factors like rightness and morality over simply mounting the fence between two positions, then censoring anything too far from the fence.

Node and the other s/debatealtright idiots want CCP-level censorship

    s/debatealtright idiots

    Nice example.

Attacking other users as a site admin on a number of occasions.

Which really means: I have unpopular opinions (like banning liquor) that offend snowflake neo-Nazis, so they have to go cry in their safe-space like a commie SJW.

Like the word anti-extremes implies, ignoring factors like rightness and morality over simply mounting the fence between two positions, then censoring anything too far from the fence.

Ohhhhh, that's what you mean. I agree with what you're saying, then, since Magnora7 did ban people and subs for being "too extreme" and I don't think he should'a done that. I thought you meant the opposite: that non-right-wingers should be banned.
