The Institutions we have are broken. Everything from Harvard to the WHO to the New York Times has been co-opted. The question is: What new Institutions are we building in their place?

I was skimming through MSM headlines the other day when the thought occured to me: I don't trust a single word these journalists have to say. Many others have expressed similar thoughts in recent days. However, this exposes a real problem.

If we can't trust mainstream news organizations at all, where can we get our information? Keep in mind that many alternative news sites just repeat stories from mainstream news agencies. We will have to create new institutions that can gather information from the source and disseminate it to the people.

This also applies to the university system and even medical associations. I don't know if you've looked at Harvard or Yale recently, but I don't trust what they're putting out. We will need to build or find similar institutions for education and research, and grant them the same amount of respect that the Ivy League received in decades past.

One example of this in the realm of medical associations is The American College of Pediatricians. You've probably heard of it - this is the organization that proclaimed sex conversion surgery on children is child abuse.

Incidentally, it's not the "mainstream" pediatric association in the United States. That said, if one association is against kid sex changes and the other is for them, I am automatically inclined to trust the one that's against.

What are your thoughts on this issue? What are some institutions we need to build? What are some that already exist that we can use?

It's hard to build new institutions when the ones that exist actively fight to destroy any new ones being created. Take Visa, Mastercard, Google and Godaddy as examples of shutting down any site they don't like and preventing alternative institutions from growing.

That's a hurdle, but not an insurmountable one.

Maybe we should be working to build a culture before creating institutions though.

    I 100% support the alternative media, I'm just saying they can't report on what they don't know. They can be the best and most objective news in the world, but if they don't have on-the-ground reporters, they're dependent on agencies that do to give them the facts. They're not wrong, just limited.

    lots of hypothesization and what ifs in that article. i agree everyone should do drills and many, many people already do. many people undergo tactical preparedness classes in droves currently all around the country. even without it, i wouldn't put my faith in the govt or the media, but in those armed to the teeth.
