The native tribes who lived there took money

Since the native tribes didn't have money before and didn't understand what it means, that doesn't sound like an honest transaction.

That is absurd. First off they didn't trade cash they traded goods. Money=goods. They traded with the settlers all the time. If anyone was not being honest it is the natives who never intended to vacate the land.

I believe that the settlers took advantage of the natives who hadn't such dealings before. Like tricking a child to vacate his house in exchange of candy.

The colonial ages were full of such wrongdoings, like the treaties that followed the Opium Wars or the way Japan was forced to open its borders.

Don't infantilize the Natives - that's how the corporate media would have you think. It was more than just taking advantage. The settlers broke treaty after treaty after treaty after treaty after treaty after treaty after treaty and continue to do so. ORGANIZED CRIME WON.
