Sure, great. It's wonderful, until the company folds and your eye is unsupported. The covid years killed off at least one company with retinal implant patients all over the world depending on them to be able to see.

Why do you think the eye would need continued support? That is not a normal thing. You have become so accustomed to the modern practice of companies to create subscription based payment systems that you think it is a necessary part of all technology.

I have had radios, refrigerators, game systems, motorcycles, and probably a lot of other things that lasted longer than the original manufacturer. They did not fail because of a lack of "support."

What kind of bionic eye doesn't restore vision? Isn't that just a prosthetic then?
