Internal joke. Weird kind of censorship. If you ask a question that is not in line with what the mods think is a right question, your question gets removed. Like you can not start a discussion about functional programming or its application in the real world. And your question gets removed, when it seems similar to a different one. Which happens often for beginners. And that is 50% or more of the time.

Yikes. IMO it might seem more fair to have them fold it into the similar/related thread rather than just delete it. Then again, perhaps it weeds out those they don't want.
