Isn't it safe to say anything by FANG (facebook, amazon, netflix, google (we can probably skip netflix tho SJW's would have a problem with FAG)) is always listening and they would bundle the data to send during "downtime" trends?

Yeah, if you care about privacy you shouldn't have any "smart" listening device in your home.

Sort of like putting a rusty old sea mine in your living room and then installing a device beside it to tell me if it's about to explode.

Is that what it has come to? People have become so slothful they would rather have a surveillance device (à la '1984') around, than push a button to turn something on? I thought remote control addicts were bad! What is next for the inordinately lazy...telepathic devices via implants, so they don't have to waste the effort of flapping their lips? Jeez Louise!
