Is Africa stupid, because the West exploited them (and never developed a working education system) or is Africa stupid, because they just are?

The latter. Colonization didn't start until the gunpowder was being widely used in Europe and we had invented the printing press. Africans were still living in mud huts without written languages.

Africans were still living in mud huts without written languages.

No they weren't. Most Africans lived in cities every bit as large and almost as advanced as European cities. And Africans developed writing long before Europeans.

Honestly dude your view of history comes from a cartoon.

Colonization of Africa didn't take off until the late 19th century, where in just a few decades the new colonial masters managed to slaughter vast numbers of Africans through war, disease and brutality. Some African tribes saw up to half their population killed off by the European powers, a level of destruction almost unthinkable.

Before that, Africa -- despite the Arab and Atlantic slave trade, and the constant war needed to provide a steady supply of slaves -- was not especially more backward than any other continent. Europe was more advanced in some forms of technology, but Africa was more advanced in others. For example, iron-smelting technology, early African blacksmiths were able to make hotter furnaces and use ores that Europeans were unable to use.

Out of the thousands of years of human civilization, Africa and Europe were pretty much neck-and-neck in technology until maybe the 16th or 17th century. Even then the differences were minor for the first couple of centuries. But advanced technology is an accelerant, and when Europe finally pulled ahead, the difference accelerated as Europe drained wealth, resources and manpower from Africa during the colonial period.

China and Japan were also exploited by the west in the end of the 19th century. They figured it out and look where they are now. Fool me once, etc.

The latter. It's shitty, but genetics plays a massive role in intelligence, and different races have substantially different average IQs. It's not all roses for snow apes either. The average IQ difference between caucasians and ashkenazi or caucasians and east asians is about the same as the difference between caucasians and the average black person.

I think it's ironic that countries like Niger and Birkina Faso are suddenly anti-French and pro-Russian. Just trading one white master for another. Add to that, these countries have no love for a State Department that flies rainbow flags and constantly tries to tell them their culture is wrong.

America's international power is crumbling. As South Africa has stated, when the western countries talk to them, they get a lecture, then the chinese talk to them, they get a new hospital. The 3rd world is turning to China for economic reasons. Just look at Blinken who has stated that every conversation he has with Saudi Arabia is about gay sex.

China is basically colonizing africa at the moment, which improves the economies for these countries and standard of living.

China is basically colonizing africa

That's a very State Department definition of "colonizing". I think that both Africa and China would describe it as "mutually beneficial economic trade".

America is like a tradesman with only one tool, a hammer. Everything looks like exploitation because that's all the USA understands.

And if the tide changes for whatever reason, and China and Russia no longer seem such good neighbors, these African countries will look to the West again. And the Chinese and Russians will say the same thing. We all really only want on thing out of Africa; resources. To suggest China and Russia are any different is disingenuous.

To suggest China and Russia are any different is disingenuous.

Sure, in the long run. Because in the long run every culture goes bad, because people are greedy and selfish. Human beings are douches.

But in the short run, cultures differ. Some are more exploitative (the west) and some are more cooperative (the east). Right here, right now, the west is privileged, greedy, and for all their rainbow flags and Black Lives Matter, they're racist as fuck and interested only in exploiting the poor especially brown and black skinned poor (but don't imagine that whites get a free pass).

While China and Russia are like Avis: “We're No. 2, so we try harder.

African countries have a saying. Whenever China visits, they get a hospital. Whenever America, the UK or France comes, they get a lecture.
