u/Tarrock didn't see anything wrong with the idea that the orcish horde has good-will regrouped THREE TIMES with only 18k deaths. That didn't cause any cognitive dissonance with him, because he didn't stop to think about it as a true fact about reality, u/Tarrock just enjoys it as a fictional internet narrative.

Finally, he really enjoys saying they're getting "stomped" when he writes about the death of almost half a million Europeans at the hands of the asian horde. It's fake, but if you think about it for a minute, somehow who revels in the butchery of half a million innocent people just defending their homes from a rapist - yeah he's a real dicksucker

Take it for granted that this is Russian propaganda and take the numbers with a grain of salt. We will likely never know the real numbers.

Casualty reports are a powerful propaganda tool. Both sides will be lying like they're Richard Nixon in bed.

The US spends a lot of money on intelligence. They've said that the loss of lives to each side is comparable. I reckon that's likely to be about right.

The Iraq WMD stands out as an example of absolute bullshit that was counter to what weapons inspectors were saying at the time.

"Oops" was a completely implausible explanation for the bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade:

"Our maps were out of date".

"How do you limit civilian casualties when hitting military targets in a city?"

"Our maps are live"

The Killed vs Wounded figures for Russia are not compatible with similar stats from other conflicts post WWII. The wounded number should be something in the range of X6 to X10 of the killed number (unless little or no medical treatment is available for wounded). The numbers here—18,000 dead and 44,000 wounded—just do not correlate with real stats. This would usually indicate that the numbers have been fiddled. The various intel agencies that have reported these numbers must know this—so assuming both sides are lying—why did they not make the numbers more realistic? I am baffled.
