I'd let you eat porridge out of my asshole, I'd have to charge extra if you wanna do anything gay tho

I remember when there was a huge push from fast food on this stuff. Every chain was advertising their version of a beyond meat burger. It was constant.

I tried one and couldn't even finish it. Really bad after taste plus the texture was my big issue.

Also I instinctively knew something this processed was going to be just as bad for you if not worse than the regular garbage fast food chains sell.

To me it was always just a matter of time before this junk went belly up.

Of course because once there is a market for mass producing this stuff it will be a lot cheaper than beef (including processing so it doesn't even need to be chilled) but they can charge a higher price. The fast food companies were desperate for that to take off.

It’s a luxury item and it isn’t even that good

It's not even a luxury item. It's a virtue statement.

Yeah real legit vegetarians tend to be disgusted by the idea of meat in general so eating fake simulated animal meat to them would be kinda like if you went to a restaurant and they served you fake shit made from beans that looked smelled and sorta tasted like the real thing but wasn't actually human excrement. Be lining up for the experience round the block.

This stuff exists for "political vegetarians" which are a lot like political lesbians.

I'd consider catching and eating rodents before eating bugs. At least its real meat.

They are pushing it as the next big thing because they absolutely intend it to be in the next 5-10 years

On top of all the weird processing plant shutdowns / accidents they will impose new carbon credit mandates to make beef and other meat too expensive, and at the same time probably introduce some kind of centralized digital cryptocurrency where they can track everything you buy and stop you from purchasing meat if youre over your "allowance" (and other unimaginable horrors)

It tastes like beans and gave me a bad case of the shits when I ate it. Not at all like a hamburger or steak.

Its because the impossible burger tastes way better even better than most real burgers. The Beyond Sausage patties are amazing also better than real meat but all their other fake meats are meh. Stores can't seem to keep the impossible meat in stock.
