Oh look, it's Parler 2.0. Back to Gab I guess.

Gettr actually has a Gab account where they're trying to get people to switch from Gab, and they're getting brutally roasted.

Shit, are you serious? Did they learn nothing from Parler? That alone makes it DOA. Why are "mainstream" conservatives so bad at tech?

This is IT infrastructure 101: Never assume your primary site/system is reliable, and have 1, 2, or 3 alternates ready to roll for BCP. "2 is 1 1 is none" applies here, and it applies to regulatory, supplier, weather, and any other disaster.

Ignore what has been happening at your own peril. And, Amazon has proven their lack of respect for contracts when it comes to enforcing political ideologies, so don't use them for anything that could even remotely be considered political.

I'm curious what he said, if anything, that got him banned. Or if it was proactive. Naturally, they refuse to explain, other than the meaningless boilerplate, "he violated our terms and conditions blah blah blah".

Exactly how Twitter operates. People they don't like just...disappear.

I wonder what their business plan is? They're acting exactly like Twitter, but they're not going to out-Twitter Twitter. And even without competition, it took Twitter over a decade to workout some path to profitability.

But they're also not trying to compete in any of the areas where Twitter has massive weakness, like it's very vague and overbroad censorship.

Nothing wrong with banning users if its for the right reasons.
