This is what I was hoping it would mean. Yes, people should be able to do with their body whatever they want (though I would really dicourage anyone from hacking their genitals off), but that doesn't mean they should be able to take money out of the public purse to fund their degeneracy.

I completely agree except I don't believe a doctor providing the service even privately funded is the correct treatment for these people. And if it is not the correct treatment then it is also against the ethics and oath of a doctor. To me it is clearly a mental disorder to desire your body to be so radically changed, similar to anorexia and in fact also breast implants, among many others.

I support everyone to live how they want to live, but when you have a treatment with a 50% suicide rate, that's not effective treatment.

yeah they should have explained it better

here is something better I found

“Under the old Obama rule, medical professionals could have been forced to facilitate gender reassignment surgeries and abortions – even if they believed this was a violation of their conscience or believed it harmful to the patient,” said Mary Beth Waddell of the religious conservative Family Research Council. Under the Obama-era rule, a hospital could be required to perform gender-transition procedures such as hysterectomies if the facility provided that kind of treatment for other medical conditions. The rule was meant to carry out the anti-discrimination section of the Affordable Care Act, which bars sex discrimination in health care but does not use the term “gender identity.”

might as well have banned for the vast majority of transsexuals, who are NEETs. Guess they will just have to grift with gofundme more.
