Yes, that is correct.

Your assertion is that none of the money in the system can be defined as "profits".

[–]Hematomato 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

None? I mean, corruption exists. There are probably some people out there skimming money into their own pockets. There always are.

But Planned Parenthood's official policy is "Provide tissue for research purpose at cost." Do not profit.

And at least the vast majority of the time, that policy is followed. No one works for Planned Parenthood because they want to be rich. People motivated by money find different jobs.

Of course, no one in the medical field wants to become rich, and the only profits to be had are from skimming money. Like in the movie road house. Profits are theft? Is that right?

Follow up Question: How would you define a black market?

Of course many people in the medical field want to become rich. And the ones who do, become anesthesologists or surgeons or oncologists. Or, better yet, go into pharma or medical equipment design and manufacture.

It's like with lawyers. Lots of them became lawyers to get rich. The ones working in the Public Defender's office obviously did not. They had different motivations in life.

No one gets a job at Planned Parenthood to get rich. It's not where the money is.

Follow up Question: How would you define a black market?

Trade in illegal goods and services.

So we can safely assume the motives of all people from the known thoughts in your head.

And according to you, it is legal to sell the body parts of babies, therefor it is not a black market.

Got it. Perfectly clear now.

I think I've been pretty clear that exceptions exist. But we can pretty easily figure out the rules that those are exceptions to.

And according to you, it is legal to sell the body parts of babies

It isn't broadly "legal to sell the body parts of babies." It is legal, under some circumstances, to provide fetal tissue to universities and laboratories to conduct medical research.

Of course, there are "exceptions to rules". And providing fetal tissues for money to cover costs is neither sales, nor are they human body parts, no matter how developed they are. I am following along with you the best I can, as you spoon feed me this information you are so knowledgeable about.

If I see the words "medical research", "non profit" or "fetus", I am to not Question these things, and am to trust the science.

Thanks! Got it now!

Obviously you're not. You're just making up weird arguments and assigning them to me.

Does PP provide fetal tissue to research laboratories at cost? Yes.

Does PP run a secret, profitable scheme to sell fetus livers to a Chinese pedophile cult with a thirst for blood? No. Take off the tinfoil hat.

I don't know where any of this is coming from. I am simply agreeing with you. It's not as though I have asked for you to reconcile any of these strange statements against your opening remarks:

They're incinerated as medical waste. This happens, at least, 99% of the time. Whether there's some fuckery with a small percentage of them, I'm not in a position to guess.

How strange of you to make all of these very odd statements. Either way, I shall take your latest comments to be your actual beliefs at this time.

Question! Is a research laboratory somehow ethically superior to a Chinese pedophile cult? And if so why?
