Seems to be a chicken and egg thing here. Why don't they save money by not investing in fooling people that all white people are Nazis, and then their ESG rating would be related to other stuff that they do?

You just don't get it, either they are woke or lose investors and finances, and their stock tumbles. Disney and Netflix face the same problems, so they replace white characters with more diverse characters. Trying to be carbon neutral is expensive, calling white people Nazis is easier and cheaper to do.
